But I don't have a blow torch or compressed air handy! is 220d owner 11 Posted June 8, 2017 On 6/6/2017 at 5:13 PM, Monocle said: Looks like a good way to go! But I don't have a blow torch or compressed air handy! i cleaned the manifold myself this week i found super effective way to clean it . OVEN CLEANER cheap one from pound shop 1£ a can just fill it with the foam, wait 5-10 mins and just power wash it comes up like a brand new no scraping with screw driver or anything similar if its cloged really bad then repeat just over and over till you are happy with results. i had realy bad one but 3 times left it allmost as new. really saved me allot of time. 1 Monocle 64 Posted June 12, 2017 Will try that next time. Don't fancy taking it off again for a good while! Did you ever take off the exhaust manifold? I presume temperatures are high enough that the carbon build up should be nil and not worth doing??? Coolissimo 0 Posted January 23, 2018 Hi Monocle, Thanks for the tutorial, still with some doubts could you let me know why do you drain the radiator?? Thanks Prev 1 2 3 Next Page 1 of 3 Create an account or sign in to comment You need to be a member in order to leave a comment Create an account Sign up for a new account in our community. It's easy!
