H&R's -35mm drop, gives the Sport a low mean look thats what i had on mine before i got coilovers.

Eibach springs (30mm drop) are pretty popular in the club as a cheaper lowering option than coilovers. Can get them from TDI - see link at top of page. Got mine fitted by a local garage for about £150. You should get tracking done about 500 miles after fitting.

I have a Toyota Altezza that has been having some bad vibrations that can be felt through the seat at 70+ mph and also when the accelerator pedal is at a certain position (regardless of gear) I’m curious as to what this could be, as (I believe) it happened after I replaced the aftermarket exhaust with it’s original cat back exhaust. My thoughts are that it maybe geometry, balacning or tracking, or would the exhaust have any effect? As it feels a lot more 'choked' now with the standard exhaust. What would be the best plan of attack? I was thinking check wheel balancing, and then 4 wheel alignment if still present? As it's an import and has GAB coilovers would I still be looking to achieve the 'stock' alignment settings? hate it when your 'baby' doesnt feel right ;)

damn you, i convinced myself i didnt need to buy these! no fair no fair! *** they look good. realy want some. so many things so little time! its defintaly high on the wanted list now dave! Will be interesting to see how the power works with the chassis. also remembering that your running coilovers and that the dynamics of the braking on a standard setup would be a little different. but still, uber cool!

Hi! I'm going to get an entry of the hipermax II coilovers into my car papers. It's illegal to have them in your car, without any certification and without any entry in your car papers of them, TUEV or such. So I'm asking if anybody knows where I could get a certification sheet of the HKS Hipermax II coilovers used on a Lexus IS200/IS300 or Toyota Altezza, which says that those things are made for this car and can be used and is OK and is strong enough and such. (Austrian bureaucracy :duh: :shutit: ) Can you help me guys?? :) Let me know please, Mike :)

Pete, Mine are 19x 8.5 The ride is fantastic but the wheels are very heavy and I think it affects the performance a little. Saying that, if you go for the 7.5 width they should be lighter than mine. When I first fitted mine the car was lowered on -40 springs and the arches weren't rolled. It did't catch even with 4 adults in. However, I then lowered it 4.5 inches on coilovers, so i had to do a little grinding

Two workshop notes needed. 1) Removing rear discs, Sounds simple & once I knew how it was but I couldn't find the adjuster anywhere!!!! 2) MOST IMPORTANT!! Fitting Coilovers ! ;)

well the skirts and rear bumper look like SARD items. Front is the Toyota alzezza sport. Looks like he is on 18" rims COilovers sports grille
-
coilovers, I just seen the price of them I'll stick to Springs Thanks
-
Think it's only the springs which are different so that's all you need to change unless you want to go for uprated shocks as well. Other option instead of springs and shocks I guess would be coilovers. Most people on here seem to just change the springs if that's any help?

very interested. after seeing keirons car last night and when he adjusted his coilovers i realised that its gotta be the way to go. plus me 19's are coming very soon and would be nice to get em sitting jsut right! and raise the car up for the winter months too. I would love it if they were the KW type as they are realy well made and rust proof (ish)

... One of my clients knows one of Europe's biggest suppliers for shocks, springs and coilovers. This company has been supplying these parts to many of the European aftermarket specialists that rebrand their products as their own brands, including to some leading European and German brands. Because of this, their products meet or exceed all the German Tuv requirements. This supplier also sells coilovers for the Lexus IS200/IS300, and i am now trying to convince the supplier to sell some of these coilovers to me. Since this supplier only sells to other aftermarket specialists, they require a minimum quantity of 10 sets.... The warranty on these coilovers is 12 months I am now convincing the supplier to sell me one set for a sample ... then i will require a guinea pig for testing and photos!! :winky:

Most aftermarket pillow tops make noises since these are made of metal That is the compromise for getting a lil' better handling. Alternatively, you can install the shocks/springs or coilovers using the stock mounting tops.
