  1. Well - update for those who are interested; I finally got myself some coilovers. TRD SUS kit, no less! And i concur - they are stiff!! But nicely adjustable. Out with the old Sportivo replacement shocks and springs, and in with the new! Height and damper adjustable, the damper is adjustable in 4 steps. On the road, you could consider the steps as follows: 1. Gee, that's nice and tight 2. Wow, stiff suspension 3. Oops, there go my dentures 4. Is their a chiropractor in the house? I am currently driving around on Level 4, to fully experience the hardness of stiff suspension, and so that when i go back to 1, it will feel like i'm driving a stock car again! Haven't had the car fully adjusted yet (full geometry alignment etc), so more to report later. But suffice to say that initial impressions are as follows: the difference between these and my past setups are CHALK AND CHEESE PEOPLE!!!! :woot:
  2. Fensport are about 5 miles from where i live - perhaps you could give me the car and your credit card for the weekend and i could make some "investements" for you. Of course I would have to carry out extensive road testing just to make sure all is ok with the new supercharger, coilovers 30" wheels etc etc etc !! :winky: Looked good in the flesh last night though - get polishing my man ! B)
  3. Kei Office Coilovers figures are>>>>> Wheels are 225/35/18x8j front Both/sides 310mm Back Both/sides 330mm :D
  4. Hi guys i played around with my Kei Office Coilovers today and i think i went a bit over the top :D Think its a bit low....................
  5. wat springrates r u coilovers using? with the thickness of ur chin spoiler/bumper i think any rate less than 16-18K .. n u'll lose ur chin on regular city roads ..... but nonetheless it looks great standing still!!!
  6. Unlike your spoiler and every ant, we will never meet .... still looks good though :D unless you are an ant Recomended sites are:- www.ants /against coilovers.com .ants / impressions / made on the spoiler.com .ants/ up the coils/ how low do we have to go.com .ants/ that was my brother you futher mucker.com further reading:- .how to plough the road, Mr Singhs way.all the time. com .farmers against Mr Singh/ our ploughs are better.com .Mr Singhs guide to the Grand Canyon.sod off/ you ****s.com Future reading:- .think its low/ meet the monster/ and die.all.com .speices concern/ ant count/ low/ UK/ monster/ road hump.com .sod the ants/ humps/ because we are LOC.com :D ......car looks nice loooow.
  7. Hi guys now i have my car back...............i got round to fitting the new bits that i had got when the car was in the Bodyshop :winky: -Greddy Ground Wire Kit -Cusco Strut Brace -Japasi Brace -Kei Office Coilovers -Hood Strut Kit -New 18"x8j wheels..............as most off you know :D Here are some pic,s to be going on with.............. :D Strut Brace,Hood Struts & Greddy Grounding Kit :D i will try and get some more pic's up over the weekend, off the Brace & the Coilovers.......... :D
  8. Ouchy! is that cause your a'pexi coilvers are decked? Shut it..... you know yours is badass!!! :P get some info on the GAB coilovers and get it dropped more..........
  9. Don't think they got a "life" as in so many cycles. Problems are usually caused by incorrect tightening, either too much or not enough. Got to say that Thom's post got me thinking, I have had the wheels on and off like a t**ts drawers recently adjusting the coilovers Also young lad across the road came round the corner and his wheel fell off cos the bolts were stripped, the wheel coming off also knackered the threads on the stub axle so it looks like he can't get the hub off, still stops him tearing up and down the road.
  10. Very nice. Must be a sporty ride e.g.coilovers. How much did you pay? How much bhp at the wheels?
  11. where do i start..... ask a specific question...i'll give a specific answer. the chassi braces eliminate, chassi twist, at the front, where the lower suspension points are, these are tied into the cars subfram, and therefore stop twisting at the bulkhead forward, this coupled with a top brace, illiminates any front twist the rear, is mounted to the bottom of the rear subframe, and then bolts to the original brace points, however the chassi brases, are also laterally braced, illiminating twist acros the rear of the floorpan. as anees says.....mine are the best there are...fact! very stiff anti roll bars will make the car rear skitty. however a decent ARB, coilovers, chassis braces and strut braces, makes for a very tought, chassis, which alows the geometry to be finely tuned...and remain accurate, steering will be precise, and handling vastly improved.... i have the whole set up on the monster, and the drift car(albeit...on the drift car, coupled with seam welding, roll cage, and other such badass stuff)
  12. How much are you looking for Anees? Tempted to make some changes to my car That is right what you'd said, basically over on IS300.net there were some comments saying that too stiff anti rolls combined with a big drop had negative impacts on performance, but that was in relation to just coilovers and very stiff sway bars, stiffer even than the TRD's!
  13. Bloody hell.....with all that stuff your car WILL BE a GO-KART!!! :P :P Just something I saw a few months back....think Aido posted it... This maybe rubbish, maybe not. But I'm sure I read somewhere that if you have Chasis Braces, coilovers + AntiRolls that the car can become too stuff and becomes twitchy??? Backend can fly out more or something. I quite possibly am wrong.. What are TRD bushes? Since you have coilovers you may not feel the impact of these braces as much as me who had just lowering springs. Maybe an expert can shed some light on this?? :D
  14. My ride is -55mm at the front and -80mm rear - I'm having a think about raising it to the same height (-55mm) front and rear because I suspect that the low height is contributing to the rear coils knocking. I had a look under the front a while ago and there seems to be plenty of clearance to fit the front member safely. And I very rarely drive around town anymore cause the council seems to have done a GB on speed bumps :tsktsk: So with these fitted plus the yellow TRD anti roll bars (due next month), Prolex front strut brace, TRD rear strut brace and the coilovers properly set up I'll just about be sorted on the suspension........except for the uprated TRD bushes If I can get these for a bargain price I'll go for it
  15. I have the JAPASI ones which Mat Made. They are bloody FANTASTIC!!! :D :D Really tighten up handing on turn-in and makes the steering much more "snappy". Car feel SO MUCH BETTER! I think the ones Mat developed may be better then the TRD ones. Trouble with the JAPASI ones is that they do hang low on the car so you do catch more speed bumps if you car is really low like yours Mr Morse. With a drop of 30mm, over most speed bumps you should be fine. I personally felt they made a bigger impact to handing then the TTE AntiRoll Bars I have or the lowering. Thing I have noticed is that the ride suffers slightly with them because their is MUCH LESS chasis flex, so if you go over a pot hole on the right side can can feel the left side reacting much more then normal. I am actually thinking of selling mine because soon I should be getting coilovers and if you slam the car too low you will scrap speed bumps with the JAPASI Chasis braces. My area is full of loads and my job involves visiting schools so again more speed bumps The TRD's may be thinner - I don't know. If you want the Chasis braces drop me a PM. :D :D Mat said that his are made of the same metal designed to build bridges so they are incredibly strong - when they scrap they make a horrible noise, but its better them scraping then your Cat or other important bits under the car. Hope that Helps.
  16. Hi Anees, Yes .. KYB does make the damper. KYB is actually a very big shock manufacturer. Many of the performance parts manufactures OEM from KYB. For example in the TRD sportivo kit, the shock is made by KYB. Note that KYB only OEMs shocks .... they do not do the springs .. or coilovers for these makers. If you get KYB shocks, (performance ones as a KYB product), you won't go wrong. They are quite good and very well priced. ← just make sure they dont give you a really old model ... i believe the new ones are "blue" and are called newSR ?!(i think).

  25. hey folks ... just wanted to show u guys some new changes to my IS (pics fresh after installation ... fingerprints & dirt still evident on the car!!) installed a set of TRD black housing headlights..... notice there is a slight blue tinge to it ... its not the glass (so it does not affect the color of the beam itself ... to remain street legal!). Its actually, blue material that is refracted by the deflector. When I have my HIDs on, it doesnt show at all :P ... I'll be showin some pics after i get my car cleaned, since I also got coilovers installed too (after much IS200SUV critizism ... hehe)...
