  2. Hello all, Have a real bad problem, short story is, car been standing for some time, battery died, jump started it and when leads were connected there was a spark - bought a new battery today fitted it and certain electrics aren't working - all dash gauge's, speedo, fuel, rev etc - taillights, reverse lights (hazards working indicators not!) - Wipers, washers - Air-con heater and radio - Elec windows, mirrors Certain things are working, interior light, door lights, headlights, indicators. Now checked all fuse boxes and only found 2 blown, replaced and others appear fine so what else could it possibly be!!?? Driving me mad as want to get car back on the road! Hope someone can help!! Thanx!
  3. Thanks for the reply Maneesh, just got off the phone from them and they do sound very nice genuine people. Think i got a good quote from them to carry out the 60k service inc cam-belt, tensioner, idler, plugs, other belts and the discs and pads etc. £1000 - What u lot think?
  4. Hello all. Quick question, my IS200 (2001 auto) has been standing for some time and I want to put it back on road and its due 60k service, cam-belt, plugs etc. I have been in touch with Westfield Motors in Essex who are an independent Lexus garage and was wondering if anyone has used this garage before or any info on it? I'm also renewing the discs and pads all round and the guy at Westfield has quoted me with his own brand who says he uses them on his car, what you think? Also can anyone recommend tyres, Dunlop SP9000 L?? And good place to purchase? Thanks in advance peeps. Rich
  5. The top one is a pic of Mr Singh's Lex and i think he got them specially made and imported from the U.S, very nice tho and very BIG! Someone will be along in a min that will be of more help then me!
  6. You will find the rear light conversion here, by LM Retrofits; http://www.lmretrofits.com/index.asp I have e mailed them several times after my Depo LED rears failed but got nothing in reply, doubt they will do business with UK anyway, as per usual US gets the best stuff for the IS....Like the projector headlamps! http://www.advancedautomotiveconcepts.com/
  7. Veeeeeery nice indeed! Like the rear bumper and the boot mod the way it opens, and the flared arches! Not a bolt on kit obviously, any ideas what it is?
  8. Yeah your right but i don't think all the drivers look like kn0bs!!
  9. Dark blue late spec IS with the dark spec 11 spoke alloys coming up to Winston Way in Ilford, only noticed it cos it had blue LED sidelights and foglights ON in the middle of a BRIGHT sunshining day! And just when i thought that looked really stupid i noticed the driver, arm hanging out the window wearing a white hooded jacket with the hood up and nearly over his face with music blearing out Very nice motor but i must say i couldn't help but laugh at the driver, sorry but if you do see this you looked like a kn0b and far far from cool!!
  10. Came across these on ebay and thought someone on here might be interested. Centre arm rest http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Lexus-IS200-Leather-...1QQcmdZViewItem Not your average IS200 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2000-LEXUS-IS200-SE-...1QQcmdZViewItem
  11. Don't believe it, just seen a clip of the news its the main headline, really hope he pulls through and doesn't go the sameway as the late great Steve Irwin, doing something he loves.
  12. Where from if you don't mind me asking? Why not?
  13. I agree that it depends on the type of car you drive, of course it does, when i used to have my RS Turbo which was also standard and as i was an RS enthusiast and not a boy racer i had the car for interest rathar than boy racing but i could guarantee whenever i went out i would be pulled, but my car was always in tip top condition and most times we ended up talking about the car. When i got my Focus ST which was brand new i was again always gettin pulled, when they stopped they would do their checks, owner, address etc and i always asked them why they stopped me and they would say well its a very nice car and if it was stolen wouldn't you want us to stop it! But when it was stolen from outside my home in 2005 i never did get it back!!
  14. In a word, 5HITE ! Do not bother with the LED rear lights mate, as A.J said a few including myself have had them and they have failed, an expensive mistake to make, the LEDs fail and rows of them stop lighting. Stick with the 4 or so options you have, early spec chrome, later spec smoke chrome, late matt grey or think you can get some black/black. Its a shame more companies don't cater for the IS in the lighting department like they do for the hot hatches, i.e projector headlights with halo's, different design LED rear lights etc, US seem to do ok with loads of companies offering custom lights such as LM Retrofits, AAC but don't ship to UK.

  16. I agree it will be interesting to see how they deal with the complaint but i just couldn't be bothered with the hassle, not that i have money to throw away or anything but just thought it would be a long process, but as i said will be interesting to see the outcome. And yes of course i declared the lights were faulty when i advertised them on ebay, i have been stung myself on ebay before so know how it feels, still made a reasonable amount though. The clusters i have now, the late spec dark chrome ones do look good on a black car, not as dark as the LED style but still look good.
  17. Didn't think he would be of any help, still there was no reciept or any proof of purchase so I would imagine its not possible to get anything back, and if you got new LEDs how would you fit them! Let us know how you go anyway.
