  1. Another thread you sigh about HIDs! Well this one is just to say anyone thinking of buying a set should not hesitate! I used to have Xenon's on my ST and since i had the IS the lights in comparison are like candles! Anyway i went for the HIDS4U set and for £99 you cannot go wrong, amazing improvement! I fitted them today and it really is so so simple, 30 min job. The link is below to the set i bought (6000k) incase anyone is interested, yes there is many sets on fleabay but i thought i would go mid range and get from someone who deals in them everyday and have someone to go back to if anything went wrong, you also get very well documented instructions, very quick delivery too! HIDS4U recommended. http://www.hids4u.co.uk/store/product.php?...t=18&page=1 I'm off to try them in the dark!

    New Rims

2nd ones look good especially if you got a staggered fitment. 1st ones if you want a Lexus ST!
  3. Whatever people think of it you'll see just as many as you do X5's on the road. I guess its for people with more money than sense as it isn't very practical at all and only a strict 4 seater that costs £45k+ If you want to stand out buy one of these, and apparently if you do want one get your name on the waiting list! For me i'd stick to an X5.
  4. Thanks for the replies guys. I agree the owner should know if thier car has been dumped, i know how that feels i once had my brand new ST stolen from outside my house! Anyway i've been to the police and as its legally taxed and parked even if it is awkwardly there is nothing they can do, they can't give me details of the owner and it is not reported as stolen. They suggested i ring DVLA who can release that information and then it is up to me to contact them and go from there. I also spoke to the owner whose house its parked outside as if someone along that road owned it it would be in a drive where most are big enough for 5 cars! She said she has also been onto the police who told her the same thing and the council can't do nothing until the tax runs out, once it has they'll afix an aware sticker to it take it in a week if the owner doesn't come forward then car heaven it is!! She also said she is sick of people knocking on her door asking if she or knows of the owner! Lol! 2 guys once knocked at midnight! I guess with such a car i'm not the only one to notice it. The police also said the only way you can claim such a car is by going through the last registered keeper. Also the inside is a complete mess, looks like its been raided and someone has been somking da reefa!! Anyway i'll keep you posted thanks again, thought maybe they'd be some law dude on here.
  5. Just wondering if someone can shed some light on what happens if you find a stolen car? I heard somewhere (i think) that if you go through the correct channels you can claim such a car. The car in question has been parked up for several months now, tyres flat parked in an awkward position but legally with tax, i've done some checking on the plate and it is coming back as the same make but a different model and colour. I wouldn't bother if this was only worth £500 say but it is a prestige motor worth at least 15k! The tax runs out 06/08 so then the council will just pick it up and do whatever with it. Hope someone can give some info can't find much online.
  6. Once you have chopped or cut whatever it is you have to to fit 300 lights is it possible to re-fit 200 lights if needed/wanted?
  7. Any luck with these dude? Getting em all alligned etc?
  8. Look really good mate, definately suit the style of your mods! So whats the light throw like as in UK spec cars does it shine left or dazzle to the right or can it be adjusted? Thinking about these myself not too bothered about the adjustments for fitting just wondering on light output and beam etc How about a few head on pics and a few at dusk if you can? Loving the smooth look btw!! Anyway well done mate for gettin em fitted and bein daring enough to chop up your wings in the process! Any 'How To?'
  9. Really want a set of these myself be interesting to see how you get on mate as far as i've read it is just the wings that stops them fitting. Hope u manage to get them fitted and wired up. What are the quailty of the lights like?
  10. Think most people are interested in these if only for the projectors with a nice set of HIDs would look very cool and more modern! Remember they are for US market though so built for the IS300 so wings may need to be modified and hopefully beam can be adjusted! The 3 lights do light up i looked into importing them from US. Let us know how it goes maybe a group buyon the cards...?
  11. Grand Theft Auto!! Get yourself a copy and then you'll be addicted!!
  12. And the old IS came in at 20! New IS the No1 Executive car and old IS No2 Executive car! Says BMW will be miffed to be beaten by both generations! Lol! Lexus don't do too bad in that poll do they, No1 for build, reliability and comfort also tops the manufacturer poll!
  13. Thought it was just me, i find the same problem with mine! Maybe its just the way they are?
  14. Thank you Stav i will try them i'll PM Prolex.
  15. Old post i know but wondering if anyone knows where i can still get a set of these? Searched the usual places ebay etc but no joy. Or if anyone has a set laying around they don't want? Thanks! OB
  16. Let me know how you get on P.Lindblom, i've swapped my lights little while ago for the later spec darker ones it isn't that difficult, but maybe more so once all the HID's and new wiring with the new headlights. Good luck i'm sure it would be worth the hassle!!
  17. Guess i'll give it a go see how it goes, buying some HID's too so will try fit them altogether if not get someone who knows what they're doing to have a go.
  18. P.Lindblom i was going to order a set of those the weekend too! I'm sure projectors point ahead anyway although i'm not sure, and why wouldn't these lights not have adjustable beam anyhow? Think the wings need to be moded to fit IS300 lights and also i was wondering on the connection of these lights as if you look at the pics there is a plug connector so don't know how they'd connect to HID's? Need someone in the know to confirm!
  19. You have to have weights fitted to the wheels or it can affect handling, simply tell the tyre fitter to fit them on the inside of the wheel rim instead, out of sight. I recently changed my tyres at 60k service for T1-R's and they're a very good tyre, got them from Camskill online and like you said ahmed24 it was cheaper to have them fitted independently...also a good thing to do is to fit new valves maybe some nice metal ones while the tyres are off.
  20. Was wondering the same thing. So don't US lights have an adjuster on them for beam? And don't projectors point ahead? Just i bought some front fogs from Japan for my IS but maybe they're different to headlamps! Hmmm??!
  21. P.Lindblom, where did you find those projectors any link?
  22. Ok still no luck with this! I checked the 120amp fuse but how do the block fuses come out, have a little see through cap on top and that comes off but doesn't feel like the actual fuse wants to budge. Anyway can anyone recommend a place to take the car Dagenham, Essex or what i can do as i can't even drive it the way it is!! HELL!!
  23. No i haven't checked any relays or the 120amp fuse, not the best when it comes to electrics. I'll take a look in the mornig and post back. Thanks guys really hope it works starting to worry me now!!
  24. Exactly what i thought Rob, just can't work it out, also the gear selector doesn't work unless i use the overide! Just thought someone on here would have some suggestions or something else i could check on?
