Are there only two different types of colour finish on the 11 spoke style alloys? Anthracite & Silver? Only reason why i ask is in some pics the Anthracite finish looks lighter, guessing its just the angle of the picture.

Nice clean looking motor there! Think the black rims look different, try the black rims with a red pinstripe and red calipers or black calipers red logos. Different is good!!

Grey! Lol! Against the crowd here! Black looks best though with fresh diamond cut rims, xenons, v.light tints and some lowering to finish it off. And when i say grey i mean the limited edition grey they came in (Kodiak Sky?) never seen one in that colour with Aero and 18's! Would look ace me thinks!

Could do with Full closure Auto wipers Seat memory Centre arm rest Folding rear seats Heated windscreen Xenons (Hard to live without once you've had, had to add these!) Annoying bits Electric seats (Great gadget but SLOW! Esp after the misses been driving, can't even get in until i've stood outside like a moron adjusting it!) Heated seats (ONoffONoffONoff) Error 1 & 3 (WTF?) Auto lights (Always seem to want them on before they....auto light....Good for tunnels etc. Need DRLs now! The misses driving it! (The scuffs i keep getting repaired are never here fault though!)

I hope they were spare headlights mate!! Lol! I took a set of old headlights apart before. Its not simple to do and yes its a pain trying to get them apart, try a hairdryer while pulling them apart to melt the sealent, this worked ok for me. I done all that just to remove the orange filter! Once i had put them back they kept misting up which looked rubbish, i got fed of that and bought some later spec dark headlights and left them alone aprt from HIDs! Try the hairdryer trick let us know how you do.

I was thinking about selling my Lexus, only to buy a 300 or newer 200 LE spec, but when the new tax rates came in i realised it would be a dumb move, mine is an SE registered 31st Jan 2001, so i'm still in the older tax bracket so makes sense to keep it. Petrol is a ridiculous price i agree, which seems to go up & down & up & up by the day, but since i changed jobs and so therefore not travelling from Essex to London everyday, the car only covers about 4k per year, most of it done by the other half, but then i spend lots of money repairing the scuffs and dings from supermarket car parks that the silly moo puts in it, everytime she goes out! But anyway bottom line is i'll be keeping mine, unless i come across a windfall, as i believe to replace it i would have to spend a lot more than my Lex is currently worth, compared to how much it feels its worth everytime i drive it! :D

My car is black, always detailing it and keeping it clean, it was only when i went to give the wheels a quick clean on Wed that i noticed a chip, i thought ah well, then another, and another! I suppose i've got nothing to lose by writing a letter, but what proof do i have? It obviously wasn't the grass but all the crap and gravel on the side of the the pavement. Never really thought of what you suggest and i haven't really got the money right now either, (how much?) just fitted some late spec lights all round, HIDs and awaiting TTE bumper fitting, was going to get the chips on front end sorted at the same time. Thought Chips Away would be cheaper than a body shop?

I park my car outside where i live which has a sloping grass bank, in the week the council came to cut the grass, i've now noticed the nearside of the car is covered in tiny chips! I'm SO angry and its ruined the car completely, ok you can't see it til your very close but not the point, the rear door is the worst totally covered with various size chips, looks like a bonnet after its lived through 100k motorway miles! Do you think i should write a letter of complaint to the council, would it be worth it? i have parked all my cars there and my Lex since 2005, of course they always cut the grass, usually its just a few strands on the wheels or something, nothing like this! So angry and annoyed. How much do someone like Chips Away charge for a repair like this?

What i don't understand is if everyone says its rubbish, where do they get the millions of viewers from? I think everyone says its crap, but those people still watch it, just don't admit it!

Tints look cool but with all the hype about how dark and how much light through front windows etc is it really worth it? I think all the cars around nowadays with just the rear tinted looks a bit off but thtas just my opinion, i like the same shade all the way round and would go for very light smoke all round if anything. As VV said what about a different colour, maybe something like the very light blue Mercs and VW have? There is also a tint that changes colour depending on the light outside, lighter outside darker tint and vice versa.

Looks ok mate, each to their own is what i say. The rims may may look even better if complimented by a bit of a drop and some other chrome details if thats the route you wanna take it could look real good fella!

As many people dislike it there will be as many people who do like it! Maybe for people who are just bored of the SUV look and want to get noticed. Its a niche model, look out for an X4 and X1!

Oh dear, in the US its all about the size of your........rims! Regardless if it look totally rubbish!

I suppose it depends what other mods you have to go with it, i mean i guess you would look like a t*t if you rolled up in a standard Lex then got out looking like something from Back to the Future! But yeah it can look cool with the right look.

Ok you can apply for a V5 via a V62 form then the DVLA will try to contact the previous owner, if no contact within 14-30 days they'll issue you a new log book. Other advice is that you can remove the car as long as you inform the police and DVLA of this, it must be off road while the process takes place and an address given to local police. If the car tax runs out the council will serve a 7 day notice on it then simply dispose of it. So another trip to the police station is in order tomorrow! All very confusing.

Was thinking of this too but the number in the windscreen has been covered by a tissue or something. Tried to call DVLA today and after about 20 option menus and stupid music for half hour i had to give up! Just bugging me that such a nice car sitting there awaiting its fate...

Its awful how the new bands that are coming into effect will probably drive most people off the road....or into pre 03/2001 cars! It'll probably soon cost more to tax your motor than it does to insure it! Crazy! I was thinking of changing my current Jan 2001 IS200 for an IS300 but no chance now that my tax isn't affected as much as 03/2001> Luckily mine was registered 31/01/01!

Stav, no i don't work for em, Lol! Its just nice when you recieve something which does what it says on the tin you know! The postage was £5 so all in £105 but they're currently on sale were £149. I agree with dazz32 that 8000k would be very blue, its tempting to go for the higher K simply cos you think they'll look better but the 6000k is spot on, like factory plus when you go up the scale you start losing the benefit of the kit in the first place, the brighter light. I'm thinking of putting a set in the front fogs too even though i know they'll be useless in fog, seen someone on here with them looks good. Will do it when i fit my TTE bumper i've had sitting for a year!

Lol @ purvesh81 !! Its an 04 plate BMW 320Ci droptop, grey, xenons, blue hood, very nice motor which is what i don't understand! If it is stolen why isn't it reported? If it is someones why have they left it like so? Hmmm! It was taxed in Jan locally to where it is.
