  1. £50 max for a second hand one seems a bit of a low max bid! I got mine off ebay a year ago cost me £200! I guess the price depends on who wants one at the time they're on ebay, they range from £50-£250. Think it can depend on when the auction ends to, don't know. Good luck with your hunt! I'm hunting for a TTE rear lip and skirt!
  2. 200red, this is the link for the projector lights http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...E:X:RTQ:GB:1123 I mailed them about these lights to which the seller replied; "Hi, we have both RHD and LHD version so as long as you let us know which one you want, we will be able to send you the correct version of headlight, these headlights are fully legal on the road, it has adjustable unit and and with E-mark approval, we have many previous customers and all pass their country's road regulations, thank you for your interest please let us know if there is anything we can help." Steviewevie, i thought the same thing about the RHD/LHD drive thing, the guy reckons the factory can produce different sets. Hmm?
  3. Actually just fitted these in the week! And guess what... no rain as yet! Typical, i don't often wish for it to rain but can't wait to test them. Hope they're not as bad as some of you have said! But they look good, sleek and modern.
  4. Nice one mate, make the car look fresh like the later spec models. Just to let anyone know who wants a set of these they're on ebay for £120 from a seller called 'bluemackie' in either colour. I recieved my anthracite set yesterday.
  5. £191! Quite expensive then! Would say then that £100 is ok. If you don't want it i would be interested!
  6. Few people on here have got these lights and fitted them. I once tried IS300 lights on my 200 but didn't want to start chopping the wing but it can be done. If there is a problem with the beam (can't remember who) but someone on here said you change the beam pattern by turning the lens around. Also buy from Hong Kong they drive on the same side of the road as we do so so light pattern should be the same.
  7. From Lexus brand new i believe they're about £140. Depends how bad you want it really mate and what tour're prepared to pay. I want a TTE rear skirt myself!!
  8. Kazi, hope you haven't had the word Lexis in the middle of your boot! Mine is debadged, think it looks smoother, but i'm now going to put the logo back in the middle for a change. Like Kazi said its not permanant, different is good.
  9. Nice start you made there mate! Not to keen on the wheels, maybe be better the othere way round with the black on the spokes! But thats just my opinion, always nice to see something different! Nice one!
  10. Auto Express mainly, but a lot as said is photoshopped and untrue but still a good read for all the gossip. I used to collect all the mags every month, Fast Car, Max, Revs, Redline. Now i think the modding scene has calmed down a lot (although could be just me gettin older, Lol) Since most manufactures now make cars good enough to not mod them, as in bodykits, lights, wheels etc. All the hot hatches mainly look spot on, ST's, Gti etc The content of Max Power for example is poor nowadays, especially for what they charge, £4+ ? Coolrides i'm with you mate, big RS fan have a soft spot for the performance Ford! So sometimes Fast Ford and Performance Ford mags. Otherwise just flick through them in Smiths. And why no Lexus mag!?
  11. Think tinted lights kinda take the effect away of the original Lexus light that every car has as aftermaket add-on. But the smoke effect can look good if as said is lacquered well. Jason l, are they chrome fog light surrounds you have there?? Look good!
  12. Kazi you're right there mate i remember now! It was a guy called Mark at Teeside selling them through ebay at £55! I was going to buy the TTE rear skirt and lip spoiler. i never follwed it up for some reason or other gutted now, still want the TTE rear skirt and lip, have a sport front bumper waiting to go on want it all done at once. Anyone know how much the rear skirts are? thetruck, did you speak to Mark at Teeside or someone else. Might be only he can give discount who knows?
  13. Where did you get them from mate? Has anyone ever attempted the rest of the dash, air-con etc? Not much good with things like that, i'd probably start off good then when something goes wrong end up getting the hammer out! :)
  14. Used to have an ST til it was half inched then got the Lex. Don't think that'll be an excuse to join though.
  15. Nice dials! Are those plasma or LED lit mate? Light looks evenly spread.
  16. Thanks for that Steviewevie, i'll have to get on and order some (after raiding the piggy bank at that price!) so you haggled then? Did you get your 11 spokes from 'bluemackie' on ebay mate?
  17. I am also after a TTE boot lip spoiler, i don't think the one from ireland is genuine TTE. I'm not sure but i know at one point Lexus Teeside were selling these for £55, i didn't want one then but were on ebay, might be worth giving them a call mate.
  18. Didn't realise that they're so many different variations! I also need some as got some 11 spokes from ebay. The ones in pic, are they the ones needed for the anthracite colour alloys?
  19. I would also be interested in some clear door marker lights for the blue theme! :) I would gladly pay the necessary too!
  20. I know this subject on the CCFL Halo Headlamps on ebay has been done to death now. But I was wondering if Hong Kong versions would be the same light pattern as ours in UK, both drive on the same side of the road so i mailed the seller in Hong Kong to which i got back.... ...Hi, we have both RHD and LHD version so as long as you let us know which one you want, we will be able to send you the correct version of headlight, these headlights are fully legal on the road, it has adjustable unit and and with E-mark approval, we have many previous customers and all pass their country's road regulations, thank you for your interest please let us know if there is anything we can help. What i want to know is if this guy is taking the Michael or what? I also asked what the difference in the lights were, he said nothing except the light pattern which is made differently at the factory. Hmm? 220276958929 - This seller, this item.
  21. Does anyone know if car headlights in Hong Kong have the same beam pattern as UK? As the lights Scott bought that he had to adjust, also for sale on ebay from Hong Kong who drive on the same side of the road as us! So just wondering if they have the same law for MoT or similar, or would they be any different to the US ones on sale? Item number: 150289778219
  22. I wanted the projector lights on ebay too, but heard so much about fitting i didn't bother! I also tried IS300 lights which have the same fitting problems as the projector ones. Scott, how'd you manage to change the beam around? There is also a place in US called AAC, have a youtube video too, they can do you a custom projector design and you can send your own lights to them. I always wanted the standard rears but lit in LED (available in US) it seems the US is catered much much more for aftermarket lights than the UK! Demitris, your other option is to buy some cheap ebay headlight (listed now) and take them apart, clean, spray, job done!
  23. Definately not selling mine, 52k on the clock when i bought it in 2005 and only 65k on it now! So not many miles being put on it, the Mrs uses it mostly anyway. Being registered Jan 31st 2001 i also just miss out on the stupid tax hike, so i think i'd be stupid to sell it for something newer, pay more tax and struggle to find a car as reliable, good looking and refined as the Lex! Plus i've spent too much on it for someone else to benefit from my expense! I wouldn't mind an E46 M3 Cab though, for the weekend of course! But the Mrs thinks not!
  24. I went for 6000k, looks just about right i'd say, as said the higher K you go the less light your gonna get. Depends what look your after though, most factory Xenons are 4300k and its the projector which creates the colour, so 4300k would give you the most light output.
  25. The guy who sells them, derek, has more sets for sale.
