  1. The centre caps are the same for both types of 11-spoke wheel, silver and/or anthracite. I think this has come up before and there isn't another centre cap that fits.
  2. Well i wasn't sure if it was for example an MoT failure NOT to have them. Wasn't sure if they were fitted as a legal requirement or just for extra safety. As a lot of new motors now have them in the mirrors that you can hardly see! Thanks for making me look stupid Parthiban!! Lol!!
  3. Just use some tint spray to get the desired effect. But i always think tinted lights never look as good as factory smoked lenes. While on the subjest is it a legality to actually have side repeaters?
  4. I was very surprised when i saw the advert. And i must say the car looks damn fine!! Probably just me (yeah it is) but i my first thought was Cadillac CTS. just something about it that reminded me of it (i know it looks nothing like it really)
  5. Well the conclusion was simple! After i reported it to the police and they advised me as most said, that once its reported they try to contact the owner. They did so and contacted me to tell me they couldn't get in contact with the owner by any means, but as the car was so valuble they couldn't just give anyone permission to just take it. Anyway they advised that it would have to be towed by either the police or council once the tax expired, then i would have to keep track on its progress and if it hadn't been claimed within 6 months it goes to auction to cover the storage costs. It would sell for silly money compared to its value. Off record they also said that if the car went missing from where it is and noone did report it stolen, i could apply for a new V5 from DVLA in my name after DVLA has written to the registered keeper with no reply. The car would then be mine but then if the owner did ever report it stolen they could take it back anytime. Stupid system if you ask me but the police also said this never happens with 15k BM's normally £5 MG's so its really un-heard of. Anyway not to ramble on anymore i kept a check on it and the day the tax expired the car was gone!!! Strange enough months later i was driving in my work car along a 40mph road, and what came up behind me at an alarming speed! Yep, that BMW, i got some evils from the 2 youths in baseball caps as they flew past on the wrong side of the road as if i was in the wrong. So in the end i was glad i didn't do anything about it otherwise it could've been evils with a baseball bat! Unless they weren't the original owners either!??
  6. Have used Autoshades for several cars before, always done a top job. Limited choice on shades available though and they will no longer tint front windows.
  7. As said! Think this came up a while ago. When dipped beam are off they also come on when you flash your main beam anyway, so if you're worrying putting a set of HIDs in your main because of heating up time and on/off will damage them it shouldn't do too much harm. I've got a set to put in my main beams but not got round to it yet.
  8. There are quite a few different types of LED rear lights for the IS nowadays, but you just can't beat the originals. I once had a set of LED Depo lights that failed after a month, LED looked the nuts i must admit its just the casing design i wasn't keen on. Until someone comes up with the originals in LED form i'll be sticking with the smoked originals!
  9. I used to think that just tinting the rear windows looked real silly and odd Now, i don't think that it looks too bad, i think it is because a lot of cars are now like it from the factory, the more you see it the more you get used to it. I have always liked tinted windows always had them on my cars and must say never had any problems. I used to have really dark film when i was younger then grew older and wiser and now just have a real light tint. But i know of people who have had it removed on the roadside!! Be warned. While on the subject does anyone know what tint is on the new Benley? Mostly see it on the Flying Spur, kind of a bluey/misty look to it? Think it looks mint!
  10. I know that place mate its round the back of Queens Cresent, they put up some stupid little auto barriers when you can't use that bit of road. I think its between school and peak time i used to use it as a short cut when i lived in North London, takes you out to Gospel Oak station. Unlucky it cost you £60 though mate sorry to hear that on top of Chrimbo coming.
  11. Will look wicked mate! I also think the blue wheels will look good, different and daring is good. Also as hodaz says a white outer lip on the wheels would look good. Can't wait to see the finished result!
  12. Very nice motor dude! It is nice to see and share ideas with other forums, nice to have someone from US.
  13. It is so so sad anyone could ever think of doing such a thing to a poor defensive child. The sad thing is the scum that did this won't get what they deserve, 20 years isn't enough in jail, a lifetime isn't enough in jail. The death sentence would be the only way the justice system could deal with it. But as this countries justice system stinks the nasty evil people who did this will walk the streets free once again in their sad lives, maybe not in 10 years, 20 or even 30 years, but they will, and they shouldn't be allowed to. They should be locked in a cold concrete cell with nothing, no bed, no toilet, no water, nothing! Just left to rot and feel the pain that poor child did in his short life. How sad. The worst thing is the child was seen by nemerous professionals and still this happened, these people should also be punished! At least now the poor boy is at reast in peace who knows how much longer it might've carried on. To think the stats say 1 child everyday dies in the same way. So sad.
  14. Aren't HID's and Xenons the same thing? HID meaning High Intensity Discharge and the gas used is Xenon.
  15. Well done mate. Zero minors too! Wowser!
  16. Second all what aido says, if you drive with dipped beam on in all conditions you will definately notice less drivers pull out in front of you as you're seen and more visible even in bright daylight. Especially when people are at junctions having quick glances a car will catch your eye if it has lights on! Try it next time you drive! I also drive with lights on most of the time and you will soon see most new cars doing the same, the driver will have no option as Daytime Running Lights become the norm.
  17. There is currently a black bootlid on ebay with spoiler attached, the spoiler is the one with brake light. IS300/LE type i think.
  18. Look fantastic! No set for an SE Auto model i'm guessing? With the gear selector lights. how do they look lit at night?
  19. Would like some of these also. Been looking for a set forever! Really brightens up the inside, brings it up to date.
  20. Love the E46 M3. Thinking about one next year myself! Grey, red leather, hard top and liking the CSL rims!
  21. Rear lights look hot when colour coded. I love the red car on here with the red lights! Stick some 5-Series LEDs on the side of the rear lights too i've seen a US-Spec IS done looks real good!
  22. Love both cars mate the E46 is taty, i was looking into buying one before the Lex, you got the best colour too, red leather for me though! Love the new shape too and i guess you either love the wheels or hate the wheels. Fine motors indeed. As for the tints don't they also heat them on the outside too to get the curve of the glass, shrink it to shape?
  23. I don't think fog lights dazzle at all. As for putting a sidelight bulb in the fogs as TomCooper said, that wouldn't be illegal, well if it is then all new spec Ford Galaxy's are illegal, they have the sidelights in the foglight at the bottom of the bumper, when the dipped headlights are on it can look like a foglight. I know what all the guys are saying about it lighting up the side of the road, and in fog you're actually meant to use sidelights and fog lights anyway as a too bright a light just makes the fog more dense. The bottom line is it is illegal to use foglights in good visibility and if you do you could be facing a £30 fine! Modern lights such as Xenons are more than bright enough to light up the road ahead of you. I would say most people who use front fogs just think it looks good, and people that use rear fogs are just plain dumb!
  24. Would love some projectors! I like to keep things looking as OEM as possible so would really love a rerofit on my stock lights. I've seen plenty from the USA, a company called AAC does them, but at a cost. Even twin projectors, dipped and main beam. Why anyone doesn't offer this service in the UK i don't know? I'm also wondering how it all comes together, gettin the projectors striaght, beam pattern etc.
