  1. Hmmmm, bad karma on the motorbike front. :sad: Yes, if you weave thru traffic then you get what you deserve, and I've seen it happen to a mate (and it was 100% his fault on that ocassion). But to be fair, there's as many ****s in cars as there are on bikes. Let's hope they find each other and do us all a favour ;)

  2. Noooo, don't get me on the old depreciation lark again :shifty:

    If you buy a new car and then get rid of it 12-18 months later, you're going to lose a packet anyway. Yes the introduction of a new model will have a small negative effect, but as a percentage of what you've already lost, it's quite small.

  3. Frankie Howerd used to be a family friend, he came on various outings & holidays with us when I was a nipper.

    Chris Eubank often eats at "Richards" in Brighton when I'm there. He will insist on parking his "jeep" just outside and turning the stereo up. Have chatted to him, but can't understand a word he says! ;)

    Had a barney with Keith Floyd, all because I didn't want a piece of his birthday cake! Mind you, we were both p*ssed and I was gonna be :sick: if I ate anything!

  4. Does anyone know where or how much it will cost me to recondition or polish my alloys? They are quite badly corroded but warrantee is void due to losing service book!

    Thanks

    Losing your service book invalidates the warranty? That sounds a bit harsh. Would have thought the Lexus dealer that has done the servicing would still have records of your maintenance, and would be able to provide a stamped/replacement book...? :unsure:

  5. Fab pics!! :yahoo::yahoo:

    Gutted that I couldn't be there, we had a group outing to go and see "The Matrix - Reloaded" and the only time everyone could make was Sunday lunchtime. No way I could make it from Brighton to Bracknel and back to Brighton by noon :crybaby:

    Now I've seen the film :sleeping: , you lot definitely had a better time!

  6. Spot on! Go thru a standard car wash and aside from the fact that it misses half the dirt, you might as well take some fine grade glasspaper to your car! :duh:

    Now jet-wash is great for getting into all those little crevices, but I wouldn't use those brushes you see in some of them. Most of the time they're left on the ground and so will be full of grit!

    Saw a guy queueing up for the standard car wash this morning while I was filling up. '02 reg 3 series bimmer - well that figures... ;) :whistling:

  7. On the Sport & 300, Lexus use what they call "privacy" glass for the rear passenger doors & rear windscreen, which I think is a 40% tint. The front passenger doors and windscreen are only very slightly tinted (say about 5-10%).

    There are companies that can apply a fine plastic film to the inside of the glass to make it more tinted (I had it done to mine), and in the UK the legal limit is 35% for the front passenger windows (that's according to my Lexus dealer who I arranged it thru).

    Not sure about whether they have to remove the glass or not to do it. No adverse effects tho, just makes the car look even more cool B) ;)

    If you want to see what all round tints look like, check out the pictures that "Advance" has just posted of his IS300 in the US. Very nice... B) B)
