Lexus alarms are rubbish to be honest…. They are just a tick in the box exercise. If you actually look at the schematics of the system, you will see how basic it really is.

How does it differ from The Ghost 2 system and What price is Pandora..
I wouldn’t trust a ghost with a barge pole. Ghost is just an immobiliser. Pandora, depending on what you get is a fully customisable system. I can do so much with it, control it from my phone, my watch, also remote start. Further more mine is set that if the tag is not there, the car isn’t opening or starting.
Cost is dependent on what you get. I wanted certain things enabled, disabled and added to mine so I wouldn’t use my price as a benchmark. You are best contacting a Pandora dealer and discuss your needs.

Yes and they are decent.

You are trying to compare chalk and cheese there. Also it depends if the tyres are of correct spec and on correct pressure. You need to compare with another ISF, not RX, SC and even not another standard IS.

They are incorrect. I know of two, one on this forum that has been stolen via Canbus.

I’m sure there isn’t when I last checked via techstream, hence going down the after market alarm and immobiliser route getting a no tag no start solution

I would do an oil and filter change.

I’m running 245 front and 275 rear, no issues and wouldn’t change

I did the same over the Christmas period. Not a lexus but a Merc. Needed two new lower ball joints on the front and a full alignment. I’m still fighting the council, their stance at the mo is that as I can’t prove ownership (V5 is not ownership proof according to them), I can’t claim. My solicitor is now stepping in.
I hope you are both ok. Get home and have a nice hot drink. Deal with Lexus on the morning.

What were the part numbers you used out of interest?

Depends what you consider a pain, all relative of course. The procedure as I see it for the Disklok is:
1, open boot
2, remove Disklok from storage holder (unless people are happy to keep such a heavy item in the cabin?!)
3, close boot
4, place the official protective cover over the steering wheel to prevent lay marks and scuffing
5, align Disklok and secure
Perhaps if you have a lot of free time and do little driving then it might not be a pain....
Again the above to me is not time consuming at all. It’s not about free time. My 70 dad has one on his car and he has no issues removing or putting it on. I drive everyday and regardless of parking at home or in a supermarket, it goes on. If you look at the bigger picture, is the extra time taken not worth it considering what you have to go through if the car is stolen etc.

I have one and it’s not a pain at all. Worth taking an extra 30sec than risk my car getting stolen.
Precautions I have taken, factory alarm, after markets alarm and tracker with two immobilisers, which includes no tag, no start, disclock, bollards on the drive. If after this they attempt to take the car, they can have it. They deserve it after all the effort they have go to. -
Thanks. Too rich for me as I can get from the supplier of the lights much cheaper than that and with warranty.
Good luck with the sale.

How much are you after?

Possibly, you got any pics? How much you after?

A friend of mine has one in the States and loves it. Took me out in it last year and it stuck to the road like anything. It’s a proper drivers car and great fun. Obviously complete different end of the spectrum from the F re comfort, but agility and handling, beats the F!

Yes I will happily email and explain what happened and how much of a shambles the whole thing was. Also I handed back my sticker which the person at the booth put back in the envelope. Do you want me to CC you in?

Thanks for sorting things @B1RMA. FYI handed my sticker back so they best not invoice you for it.

It’s located under the steering column near the pedals. Get your head under and you will it.
