    try admiral, I used to pay 700 for the IS 200 Sport with leather and body kit. added the hiper dampers, front strut and rear strut for an extra 40, total insurance was 740 :D

    i think its made from a cake tin, a hosepipe and some brillo bads isn't it? probably as effective as the electric turbos that you see on e-bay!

    i think i should get into the Jap import business! that shop in the US can buy from HongKong / Japan for $60 plus shipping and sell for $140 plus shipping. Shipping from HongKong / Japan would be about $30 per consignmet so order three at a time for $180 + $30 = $210, sell at $140 x 3 = $420 and make 100% profit!

    if you go import for a turbo get something from Toyomoto, definately one of the best conversions around, not sure if they have anything shippable though. even though there is nothing officially avaiable in the UK I'm sure one of the UK tuners could do something custom withouth too much trouble. try tdi www.tdi-plc.com they can probably help. dp motorsport is also very good www.dpmotorsport.com dp motorsport specialises more on the Nissan side of things but seems happy to do other work - I spoke to them about a 650RWHP 2JZ-GTE swap for my IS200 and the price they came back with was actually pretty good.

    does raising the bar cause you any clearance problems on the underside of the bonnet?

    i think that removing the pre-cats is important for anyone with a supercharger (see Matt's post http://teamlexus.co.uk/forums/viewthread.php?tid=980) to avoid some of the long term problems, it's a good bonus that it brings a power improvement. for a regular is200 it will probably be a case of experimentation to see whether the removal has significant benefits.

    I'm trying to find a balance between light weight and looks, its actually quite hard to do, the selection in this post is generally a reasonably good balance but I'm still searching. Size is also a very hard balance, would love to go for 19's but for weight and performance around 16's are the way to go, will probably go 18.

    playa, don't forget london for the chip shops, used to live in south of england so was used to good fish and chips etc. not really much going on in london thats any good so hurry up and take over

    my car is three years old in early december but i'm definately going to keep it and keep modding. i can see keeping it for a long time, probably get a two seater sports car soon but keep the is200 and alternate between the two depending on mood etc.

    i had a large scratch down the passenger door right down to the metal, the dealer did a full respray of the door, cost was just under 400.

    As far as I'm aware there is nothing available for the engine internals without getting something custom done. A while ago TRD328 mentioned about JE Pistons and custom conrods that had been made, see http://teamlexus.co.uk/forums/viewthread.php?tid=1577 for details. I think some people have had custom cams made for the IS300 in America, since the engine has VVTi I think that cams will be very difficult to do properly.
