  1. I have to be careful when going over the steep v shaped ramps - the ones that are about 10cm wide but go up and then down quickly. I've not hit the exhaust but it gets pretty close on the way down the bump. When driving quickly in the city (London) I have also hit the front splitter a few times when the road has got a double bump in it - no damage apart from scratches on the underside though.
  2. It is in the hands of the welding machine that Simon mentioned above! It would be good if it is since I'd like to try the RWYB, are you planning to go this weekend? There are a lot more RWYB's, 3 in October and 1 in November but I'm not sure how the weather is going to be so this weekend would be good.
  3. I think it should be ok because of the induction kit but if not I will do the same as Matt, he has shaved a small amount off of the bottom of the bar where it hits the pipe from the super charger.
  4. i can see my car in the background :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D i want it back :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:( is your car done now or will it be at TDi for a while longer? i would recommend getting the front strut brace while your at it - i had the front strut until i got the supercharger and i really noticed the difference with it off even for the short drive to JAE and back
  5. i use optimax with an octane booster in my car and it definately feels more responsive
  6. I've looked at the racelogic web-site and it seems quite a nice feature on the adjusting side of things where you can set the degree of slip/drift. Are you going for the basic traction control or with some of the options? I'm tempted with the trac. control, adjustable upgrade and launch control, do you have an idea on how much the trac control will be?
  7. almost out of the teens, and you drive a lexus! you're getting old, admit it! i'm 26 on 1st october by the way so i'm already old
  8. Let me know how it goes, I'm not a fan of traction control but I'm kind of interested to see what its like on the IS. I've driven a few high power RWD cars - test drove a Ferrari 360 Spider and was much happier with the traction control off. I'm tempted because of the launch control though!
  9. Fitted price is 3900. For London, speak to TDi (based in Barking) http://www.tdi-plc.com/is200.html
  10. but first you have to search for the search button
  11. I've not tried personally but i've seen quite a few things from other people on other boards that is just a waste of money and can cause damage. I *believe* all it does it alter the AFR ratio so if your car is setup properly already it's not going to help at all.
  12. there are plenty, if you join gold you will find suppliers that you can get 10-15% discount from which will definately make joining worthwhile if you want to buy any of the TTE parts.
  13. An IS has no chance against a Civic VTi even with a perfect launch, start saving for the supercharger if you want to race.
  14. I hope you keep an eye on the birthday dates, just over three weeks to go. Here is a list of presents that I will gladly accept: 1. StopTech Brakes 2. Pistons & Conrods 3. Wheels and Tyres 4. Samco Hoses
  15. its' worth having sky digital just for MTV base, its a great channel
  16. it seems that it isn't a gap but the dark cars in the pictures really make it seem like a gap
  17. Welcome to the club! The standard TTE supercharger is good for roughly 210 HP, you can also get exhaust, ECU upgrade, supercharger boost upgrade, induction kit, manifolds and many more things to increase power even more. Mark at TDi is definately your man, speak to him and I'm sure he can sort out your performance. I have a Morpheous Geodesy in my car, at the moment it is connected to the cigarette lighter but I will be wiring it in permanently soon, when I have it wired in I'll post some sort of description and photos on what to do.
  18. Sounds like someone is cruisin' for a bruisin' Probably his ex if she ever gets in a cart again:lol: Last time I went carting I managed to flip a cart upside down, it was a works do and I was the only woman driver out of about 30....imagine the mickey taking I had to endure. To cap it all, I was black flagged and disqualified for the rest of the evening. And it wasn't my fault. :o  no injuries i hope
  19. i think the main man of the goldmembers site should come dressed up in his velvet suit, should be good for some publicity
  20. yep, the standard tyres are awful in the snow - spun my car at about 60 on the motorway when it was 3 weeks old. not my fault - motorway was clear apart from a patch of about 20 metres which caught me out, i was lucky, car missed everything and ended up pointing the right direction doing about 40. called police who weren't too interested. others were not so lucky - fairly serious accident later in the day that was on the local news.
  21. where are you ordering the JDM fascia from? i'm currently thinking about getting a new head unit although i might give the RCA a try
  22. not yet, car is still at TDi, hope that its done soon, not much left to go i think - main thing is the last bits of the manifold. once the car's finished i'll be straight on the photos and performance numbers. really hoping that it will be back this week so that i can go to the meanstreetcruise on saturday, trax on sunday and then santapod the week after. yep, see your point about the regulator, i think it was quite a big job. the standard fuel setup is quite strange and is pretty much maxed out with the supercharger.
