Which gear is that in for 60-100 - top gear?

I'll try a 60-100 tonight see how it goes, probably quick but I don't think 5.8. What is the 0-60 and 1/4 mile for the Nova? I'm guessing pretty quick since its a light car.

I think different preferences, I like bits of it but not others:

Paint work on the outside is good, head unit is good (thinking of something similar myself). I'm not sure about the door builds though - the quality of the join from the original door to the builds is not too good compared to some of the other modified IS's I've seen pictures of.

Dark, how do you change those dash lights? did you get the informations from the guys on IS300.net? i would love to change my whold dash light including speedo to blue , that will be nice...

Was annoyed this weekend after getting ERR3 on CD player so decided to take centre console apart! Ordered bits from Maplin and RS so that I could change the colour - wasn't sure on colour to choose so ordered enough for different colours and mistakes.

I ordered green and red to try the centre console in both, for the CD player I ordered components for red, green and blue. Once the CD player is fixed I'll try changing the colour. The centre console was *REALLY* easy (30 minutes), seat heaters not sure on yet (broken one so far), will work on it more carefully now I know how much they cost. The radio is not too bad although you need to solder surface mount components to do it properly.

I've had a look at my ApexI RSM and it should be a 10 minute job to do as well although it can only be blue or green without a lot of work.

I need to look at the dash (not taken it off yet) - maybe this weekend if I have time. I'll do the door lights, glove compartment, cigarette lighter and ignition barell this weekend too with a bit of luck.

Once I'm done and happy I'll either post instructions or sell you kits at 350 pounds a go!

I'm sure that picture doesn't do it justice - looks a bit crappy to me (sorry), but I'm sure its just the photo

for example - it looks like the extremes of the air con direction control are not fully illuminated (auto is slightly done - can't see the window setting)

in real life the colour is the same all the way accross, need to find a way to take better pictures in the dark - any ideas at all?

starting to think its a bad idea though if lexus charges > 40 for a plastic switch - don't want to keep breaking things at that sort of price.

Just spoke to the dealer, was told that since the car is more than 3 years old I will have to pay for repair etc. (approx 300).

Spoke to Lexus customer care (01737 363633) and was told that it is a known problem and covered by extended warranty and will therefore be fixed for free, customer care is going to call the dealer and give then a wrist slapping.

Moral of the story - dealer's try to rip you off, speak to Lexus customer care if you have any doubts!

Broke one this weekend, just spoke to parts department of Lexus, 44.17+ VAT for a replacement switch. :o :o :o

Already tried resetting etc. but the last post about known problem and out of warranty replacement sounds promising, i'll call the dealer tomorrow and see what happens

Went to put a CD in the player today, turned on and its showing ERR3. Last time it did this the dealer sorted it under warranty, car is out of warranty now so any clues on fixing it. It doesn't have any CD's in it at the moment.

Yes, pretty annoyed, also spent about 20 pounds on taxi getting to / from parcel force - will be sending them the bill.

16th March - Order bits from Takakaira Japan

19th March - Bits sent from Takakaira

24th March - Parcelforce deliver but I'm not in to collect

26th March - Phone parcelforce, tell them I will collect parcel on 24th April (not a problem according to them)

.....

24th April - Go to parcelforce depot

24th April - Wait 20 minutes

24th April - Parcel has been sent back to Japan since I didn't collect it within 21 days

24th April - Parcel has been sent back via surface mail, expected to take 6 - 8 weeks to arrive in Japan

The HKS are very good, you can leave them on their softest setting and comfort is very good, wind the down a bit and handling is much, much better. Only problem is lack of in-car adjustment, I plan to fix that soon though.

You can purchase a converter to change the double din to a single din, there a few manufacturers although I'm not sure who does them - a few people on this forum have them so they should be able to help you.

Beep in reverse:

Just used so that you know the car is in reverse, first and reverse are close together so it can be easy to make a mistake when you have just got the car.
