NX 2022 delivery date
Caspa replied to KoeNX's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
Unsure, but as I had two orders placed I can see both references which are: 31/12 = KP5051 10/01 = KQ0674 So was just interested to try and work out what they mean. Assume the letters are dealer or factory references and the numbers are build spots... -

I got a £3k discount on mine. Had two dealers trying to secure my business, and I told them both that "I'd like a new car but I don't need one, so you'll have to make it so I can't refuse"... They went back and forth a few times before I got the deal. Funnily enough, I felt the offers from the one I didn't go with were always provided through gritted teeth and were a real headache for them. I'm with RXtoNX as think it's best to have a plate allocated and then change it, whether that's before or after handover (just make sure those plates are made of before). Only downside is having to inform the various companies and a potential insurance admin fee, but means your in control of taking it off as you have the old plate to whack on, and as I said, it's 5 mins online and done. -

Naa, not too early as you can just buy it and keep it on retention for now. Putting on and off a car is easy as all done online, literally 5 minutes. Also gives you time to get plates made up if you're looking for custom ones (recommend Demon Plates where I got mine). -

It's the USB A connection for AA, the USB C ones are power only. And just seen this was answered already, so I really need to read the new posts before quoting others lol. -
Facelift RX450
Caspa replied to SSUR's topic in RX 300 / RX 350h / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h+ / RX 500h Club
Guilty as charged! NX450h+ F Sport on order to replace my 2016 RX450h F Sport. The RX was the family car that replaced my RC a couple years ago, as the old NX was big enough for my needs but didn't live up to my expectations of the badge (inside and out). So as a longtime Lexus owner the RX was the only option for me (new NX will be my 7th). I've looked at the facelift but not driven it, and so your first point is interesting to hear as definitely one of my gripes with my one. Second and third are general Lexus/hybrid traits in my eyes, but the last also rings true and so was a factor in my choice. Test drove the NX today and it ticks the boxes for 1 and 4 for sure... We finally have a proper infotainment system! -

Placed that order on 10th January. My cancelled order was 31st December and as it's still showing in the app, I'm interested to see the difference 10 days makes... -

Can't say I really noticed any difference in tyre noise between my RX and the NX. Exactly what I thought. Surprised me as I don't believe they've had it that long either... -

Went for a test drive today so got an update on my order whilst there, and my provisional date was 12th May but now expected before end of June. New order deliveries are September onwards now. Really liked the car and as it'll be my 7th Lexus and 4th hybrid, it was very much as expected for me. Had no problems using the electronic doors that some reviewers have moaned about, felt natural to use both in and out. The F Sport seats are certainly more snug than those in my RX, so whilst fine for me I can certainly attest to what others have said. The infotainment system is fantastic and what Lexus have needed for years, my only gripe is a lack of home button which means some screens need to be closed via the on screen button which is a little cross top left. It's reachable but a home button on the right or keeping the main menu strip showing at all times would be better. Didn't have a USB cable to test AA unfortunately, but used the navigation which is also light years ahead of the old system. No issues with them reducing the number of physical buttons as all was easily accessible via the screen. The demo had the Takumi pack added which confirmed my thoughts on it not being worth the cost on the 450h+. Didn't like the digital mirror output so just used it normally, but the camera housing reduces visibility as it's like a little upside down triangle built into the middle of the rear window frame. The mirror also appeared shorter than the one in my RX, so interested to see the normal one. One of the additional safety features that come with it also annoyed me - was waiting at a roundabout and the front cross thing kept flashing up due to the cars passing, and as my head was turned to the right watching said cars the heads up displays warnings were just a distraction. Also had the rear one that comes as standard surprise me when I had stopped in traffic and someone came to a stop behind me as I was glancing at them in the rear view mirror, and so the warning made me jump. Enjoyed the drive as it's much more rigid and so doesn't waft like the RX does, so more fun and involving to drive, and that's in normal mode let alone Sports +. Could feel the increased power when compared to my RX, and the EV only mode was brisk yet smooth and quiet. I also liked the smaller steering wheel and new gear selector, even if it will take a little getting used to. Demo had done 9,500 miles and was showing 2.4 miles per kWh on the trip, so sounds like the 40 mile EV range is spot on in real world use. They had fitted the style pack to the demo, but I'm certain it's only the side steps on the F Sport as per the brochure. Looked good though, so here's a pic of next to my RX. Finally, it had Bridgestone Alenza 001's on it. -
When to Charge the 450h+ PHEV
Caspa replied to ABitterman's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
Just got back from a test drive and the demo had done 9,500 miles and was showing 2.4 miles per kWh on the trip, so over 40 miles of pure EV range which was nice to see. Was also told Lexus don't recommend using the self charging mode excessively as it's not as good for the battery. -
I'm making the same move... My 2016 450h F Sport will be replaced with a 2022 450h+ F Sport which will hopefully arrive in May...

My orders are 31/12 and 10/01, with the former being the one I've cancelled with Cambridge. NX450h+ F Sport in Azure Blue with Red Flare interior. The prediction when ordering was May for both, but builds haven't started yet so definitely subject to change. Got a test drive on Friday at Leicester so will get an update from them then. -

Just need to register with the same email address used on the order form submitted to Lexus. You'll get an email from 'My Lexus' when the order goes through and it'll show in the app. I have two showing at the moment as I placed orders at a couple of dealers whilst trying to get the best deal, and cancelling one doesn't seem to have done anything as it's still on order just not for me now. -
When to Charge the 450h+ PHEV
Caspa replied to ABitterman's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
I'm just gonna charge at home overnight. All my local travel can be done within EV range and as it's a PHEV no need to search out a charger on longer travels as it'll just switch to hybrid mode. That's why I've gone PHEV and not EV. -
Yeah, I've had one on test drive from their store in Westfield London. Quite fond of the exterior design but wasn't too keen on the interior, mainly due to how cramped the centre console made me feel while driving, especially in one pedal mode. Enjoyable drive though with fantastic performance. Interior materials didn't impress at all and so totally agree with your assessment. No where near Lexus levels for sure.

There's no doubt that the hardware and software support it, but it's simply not included on UK spec which references wired Android Auto. -

Yeah, as Andy has stated there are a few solutions around but availability isn't there yet. The Motorola Sound (SGW Global these days) one is Google approved and reviews seem to show it's the best of the bunch, but not available in the UK yet and expensive at £90. I'm pretty sure I'll get it though as think it will be the neater and more convenient option overall. Only issues/concerns are increased battery drain which is to be expected, and if wireless charging the phone will likely heat up quite a bit so probably not the best for long-term battery health. Seen it working in a couple of US reviews which got me all excited, so must be licensed based as the hardware and software is certainly up to it. -

I really don't understand why there isn't wireless Android Auto on the UK spec when the US has it. I'm unsure if I'll just use a cable or buy the Motorola MA01 dongle when stock is available here. Really interesting seeing the two models next to each other, the size increase is very apparent. -

That's good. Got my survey on the 21st so unsure of current install lead time but reckon it's long as the guy I booked with was absolutely certain they'd extend it... Booked myself in for a test drive next Friday and hoping it lives up to the hype for me.
