  1. Went to Lexus earlier today and IDS was plugged into my unit and serial number ended in D so an update was available and carried out. All other bits i wanted doing like windows opening and closing using transponder etc were also carried out. Seems to have cured problem, only checked it on 1 source but when i get longer i will test all sources / volume levels.
  2. Thanks Ryaans, it was one of the 1st things I checked as I altered all EQ settings for each source because as you say, there defaulted otherwise. Off to Lexus now so Graham the head tech can try and figure it out.
  3. I appreciate what your saying re equalising audio between sources. Other Lexus owned vehicles didn't do it, and last one was a 2013 model which I also opted to include Mark Levinson audio. Appreciate you have ASL which I didn't cover on my initial rant but it even does it when stationary. Mentioned it to centre manager who drives the exec version IS300H and he noticed it but blamed it on poor bluetooth quality as he was streaming. I did say to him to try other sources. We spoke on Wednesday but his day off is Thursday hence why iam going in today (Friday) he will let me know his outcome and tech can do my bits and check the O/S of the unit as its got to be that in my opinion. Bloody annoying though. Thanks for your input Roscobbc.
  4. I have just bought a brand new IS300H FSPORT with Mark Levinson, and have noticed that the audio volume level decreases unless you select a different audio output then revert it back to what you originally had it on. So for instance... I was listening to a CD having selected disc and the volume is on 21, it plays fine / you can hear the audio but if you select another source, say DAB then revert back to your CD, and not adjust volume so its still on 21, the audio is way louder. It does not matter what source you select initially and change to, whether periodic or quickly. Audio is louder when you select the source you were using first. I am going to Lexus tomorrow to have some transponder options programmed and am going to get tech to look at this as its bugging me. Only had it a week, but its my 12th Lexus car. Has anyone else noticed this problem / had this issue??
  5. Not been on the L.O.C for a while (my fault) i even had to alter my personal details as i sold my IS250 SE-L and bought a new shape GS450H SE-L. Anyway... Having read the above i am familiar with recalls as this is my 7th Lexus (all different models) but 2 were recalled and i received the usual complimentary valet and a bit of petrol so its nice to see that the gift they refer too is in actual fact a gift. Mine is booked for this Monday (1.11.10) so i look forward in getting in back to see the changes. I have already ordered my CT-200H back in August so can't wait for that to arrive neither. Glad you are pleased Malc and thanks for the information provided.

    Newbie

Welcome to the L.O.C mate. Have fun
  7. Having owned an LS430 old AND new shape my wheels were fine and lasted until i sold them. Bought a new IS250 and yes, you guessed it 6 months later 2 wheels starting blistering / flaking. Consulted dealer and all 4 were changed under warranty. Take it back to your dealer mate and demand 4 new ones. If they give you some bull about back order then make sure your reg is put on the list and keep ringing them over a set period of time (unless they ring you 1st that is) Good luck
  8. Having previously owned an LS430 old AND new shape i can safely say that neither of them whistled. If i could hazard a guess i would suggest the door seal on the n/s/f. Fully open the passenger door and inspect the trim. Without stating the obvious, check for splits / chunks missing etc. Of course don't forget to make sure its a tight fit where it sits. Good luck my friend
  9. thought that, but not worth my time or effort keith.lol. any news motsey mate?? I have a set. Just offered them / 1 of them to Dazz32 as some mindless ***** stole his rear and sabotaged his front. P.S They are not that cheap from the dealer. You buy them individually as they don't come as a set due to individual requirements.
  10. Happy Birthday Mate, Hope you had a great day & shared it with your mother, being mothers day.
  11. a 240 mile round trip for some badges is a bit excessive keith feel for u dazz mate, society is full of pondlife unfortunately!!! hope u can get it sorted soon fellaa. Sorry to hear that Dazz32. I have a set or if you require an individual badge i don't mind splitting. If interested PM me / confirm model / badges required. Note to management, i know i am not a gold member but surely this matter constitutes a degree of leeway. Also i am only offering them to Dazz32 and not placing them for sale with a price stated.

  14. Hey Jamie, It's Chris who is the newbie not me
  15. Thanks for that Rob. I have actually confirmed with dealer that the correct size / profile tyre are fitted. Do you know how i contact Tony? Thanks once again Rob for your input. It is appreciated. Comforting to know of the positive comments given by those of you that have read this. It doesn't feel quite right but having said that it wouldn't compared to before would it
  16. Thank you Pete that is great, a job for my husband in the morning then. I did actually find this website so will key in the part no. tomorrow. Do you know if the new disc advises on safety cameras or is this not available on this Sat Nav system. Again many thanks Kind Regards Tina Haylands is completely correct in his statement re sat nav disc location. I have owned an old and new shape LS430 and updated BOTH sat nav discs. Unfortunately Lexus don't cover camera hot spots. The only thing i would suggest is that you mark the points where the cameras are and then get the sat nav to indicate / sound a tone when you approach them. Be careful when you remove the 2 10mm bolts (by using the spanner provided or a posidriver, also provided) as you have to lift the lever towards the rear bumper upwards and then slide the door on the disc drive and press eject. Make sure there is sufficient room for the disc to be ejected as it could catch the metal at the side of where the spare wheel sits. Not wanting to rant and rave but be careful also when you push the lever back as the holes have to align to enable the 2 10mm nuts to be put back. Otherwise you could cross thread them. Try not to use too much force also. Having read this back it does sound difficult to do but i can assure you its not. Good luck.
