  1. I don't thimk they're photochromatic... it's 'cos it's Lexus It's the whole unit that I have to get, including the arm that bolts to the door, plus they're colour coded to your cars spec. Yes it is a shame that they don't fold back and lock into place like the IS. From now on I'll fold them back and hope the a :tsktsk: s think they are locked in place!
  2. Got up this morning to find the drivers side mirror hanging! It has been literally kicked off from behind, breaking the metal bracket in three places! Phoned Lexus to see if the bracket comes seperate - it doesn't, so thats £220 for a new unit!!! I'm really p****d off, some little oik must have thought it was great fun... B******S!!!!!
  3. Hi Derek, Mine does just the same - I put it down to the choke doing it's job in this cold weather... Tony.
  4. Hi all. Just out of curiosity, what does the power switch actually do to the gearbox/engine? Tony.
  5. Sorry, I haven't had chance to try it yet. I'll do it this weekend and let you know. ← Good luck mate!
  6. Hi Steve, had my GS for just over two weeks and lurv it to bits!!!! You'll find all the info you need on here for any probs/advice - all the guy's are a great help! Tony.
  7. If your remote won't open/close your doors, here is the key-fob resetting method for the GS300 Mk1 system between '95 - '97 (the two button open/close black unit): Remove the small screw at the back of the fob, and seperate both parts. The back part will contain the battery - it's the front part that you need (minus the battery). Sit in the car and with the ignition OFF hold the fob near to the centre console and press both buttons at the same time for 20 - 30 seconds. Replace the back containing the battery and press lock, then unlock. This should have sorted the problem out - it worked with mine! :D Tony.
  8. In my case my wifes key fob works, but mine doesn't... if the battery needs replacing would the red LED still illuminate? I would try swapping batteries, but don't want to b****r up both fobs!!! Tony.
  9. Did you find out the problem, only mine has just given up the ghost, although the other fob I've got works OK. I've tried the holding the unlock button down to try and re-program it, but no luck?!?! Not sure if it's the battery as the light still comes on & flashes when I hold down the button? Tony.
  10. There's absolutely nothing to worry about... here's a quote from the owners handbook (Mk1 GS300): "The operational range of the wireless remote control is approximately 1 meter (3 feet) from the outside handle of the drivers door. The effective range may vary with different conditions." Tony.
  11. Hmmmm... a bit too "full" for my liking. Is the MK2 boot the same dimention as the Mk1? Tony.
  12. Was the glue "too" good Craig! Now that would have been ideal for me, being the same colour... :winky: Tony.
  13. Could anybody point me in the right direction for a rear spoiler for my GS? How much do they cost, how are they fitted (screwed or glued), what types are there and where's the best place to get one from? Tony.
