  1. Hi all, haven't posted for a while

Thought I'd share a pic of my Mk2 GS that I chopped my Mk1 in for last September. I love the colour of this car - in different light, it changes from blue to violet to black :hehe: :winky:

This is the first picture I took of her at a camp site in Woolacombe Bay... the ground was quite soggy as you can see from the tyres! :whistling:

  2. Problem solved!

Just finished stripping out the head unit etc and found the cause to the sub not working :D

The previous owner had fitted a Nokia hand's free unit, and after a bit of searching, found that the Nokia harness that takes the speaker output from the amp to the phone cut off unit had the 2 sub wires missing:uh: So just a matter of adding 2 new wires to the offending length of loom and VOILA!!!!!!! :hehe:

  3. Got my Mk2 GS yesterday and was immedietly disapointed with the sound system  ... turns out the sub isn't working!!! :crybaby:

It seems like the speaker is alright, as when I gently push up the cone from the boot, there is no rough/scratchy feeling, and there is zero sound coming from it.

Could someone please tell me where the amp for the sub is located so I can check for loose wire's etc, or can someone maybe tell me what the problem is? :)

Is it all plugged in at the head unit?
