Yep, I see... The IS doesn't have the cartridge. The discs are fed in one by one through the cd slot and they are stored inside the head.

The player consists of a 6 CD cartridge that is ejected from the head unit in the glove box, and inside the cartridge (once ejected) are the 6 CD's siting in their own sleeves which you remove to replace each CD seperately... if you see what I mean?

It look as though it COULD be a Police Laser Jammer.... errrr... errrr... I mean an Infra Red Remote Garage Door Opener !!

These usually have a VERY well consealed button inside the vehicle to enable or disable them...... Errr.... Allegedly !

You may be onto something there Ed with the garage door opener... the previous owner lived in one of those private enclosed areas where they have those big automatic gates at the entrance...

I think that is aftermarket. Just had a look at the wiring loom diagram and the only thing near there are the horns and a temp sensor (on the near side)

Has anybody any idea what these blocks are in the front bumper of my GS?

There are two, each between the number plate and fog lights. They both have wires coming out the back which I can't trace as they vanish somewhere.

The car has rear parking sensors, but there is no warning sound from front parking... don't know if they are Lexus or aftermarket

Do you mean the 6 disc cartridge that fits into the CD player has one of the plastic trays missing?

If so I may have one, give me a couple of days to search the garage.

do like the sportier look of your 430 my car follows the the classic look of an old mans car although i am 22 so get few looks. Got same with my 2 Jags. you looking to do any mods i was thinking about Supra callipers but cant find any info if the stock alloys will fit the calliper as everyone who has done it has big like 19 inch rims on with chrome and bling and all that jazz.

Too early to think about any mods at the mo... only got it yesterday

It's got the 19" wheels, spoiler, grill, front bumper, tints, parking sensors and I'm sure the suspension has been changed already so not a great deal left to do! :P

300 is no slouch but as i posted on here last week the shocked look of an BMW M3 driver as i was keeping up with him. Not many people on the road realise how much of a sleeper the 430 is especially those audi diesel drivers that think they own the road when the use the black stuff instead of good old jungle juice. i was watching wheeler dealers on discovery the other night when they were doing up an XK8 Jaguar sports car and the 430 is more powerful and faster than a GT cruiser.

Had mine refurbed last year, chose the black chrome :P

Now sorted... disconnected the Battery, re-set the key in the ignition - SORTED!!

i dont think they have a siren i think its just the horn that sounds

It used to work - a high pitch wailing as well as the horn.

Just recently when I lock the car with the key fob, the hazards only flash once - used to be five times with just one press.

I opened the drivers window and pressed the fob - one flash, then opened the door from the inside which set the alarm off, but only the horn was sounding and not the siren.

Any idea's???
