  1. Mmmm... new pooter then... I also got a Dell Poweredge which I havn't used, it's got longer green slots with two partitions/notches, what type are they? It has a 1.8 Ghz processor, but is only limited to 256MB RAM - tried a 512MB card, but it still only limits to 256. Is there a way of breaking this limit? The LAMA's good, I got the Twister - no wire :P
  2. Just tried the Perfmon, run the game, exited and the CPU was running at a constant 100% :o
  3. Yea... unfortunately it was the only PCi (??) card the guy had in, and at 38 quid I thought I'd give it a go. Just need to know at this stage if it's the card or the PC that's bogging down...
  4. It's not strictly a game... Aerofly Professional Deluxe RC flight simulator. I fly RC model planes for a hobby, and this is a great bit of kit to practice my flying on as I'm trying for my "B" test certificate soon, so I doubt if there's anybody else that will be using this :P I have tried reducing the resolution, but in quite hard loaded situations, it still suffers and the fps go right down Is there some sort of adjustments that I need to make in windows to set up the new card?
  5. Aido, the minimum system requirements stated on the box are 100% Pentium III or AMD Athlon/64 with at least 800 Mhz and 128MB RAM, and their recommended system requirements are 100% Pentium IV or AMD 64 compatible processor with at least 1600Mhz and 256MB RAM. All I know about mine is it's an AMD Athlon 1.15Ghz with 512MB RAM...
  6. If you mean RAM, then I have 512MB, and I don't know about the Direct X drivers, all I did was install the drivers from the disk provided with the card. Sorry, I know b****r all about PC's
  7. My PC is getting on a bit now, and after buying a cool R/C flight sim the other day, found out that the graphics card wasn't really up to the software ... the graphics became "jerky". Had a look on the web site for the sim, and they gave recommendations on what graphics card would do the job. One of the highly recommended ones was the Radeon 9*** series 128MB DDR, so I bought the 9250. To be honest the sim doesn't run any better... is it still the graphics card, or is my main processor not man enough at 1.15 gig?
  8. This may seem like a silly question, but have you turned your air conditioning completely off to see if there's any difference? On my GS, there's a noticable difference in acceleration when the A/C pump is active as it saps away several bhp... just a thought
  9. Hey Craig, good to hear from you again mate! Yup, still got the GS... the "very" rare few of us are still dragging along behind the mighty IS's :winky: As Keith said, how's the Rover going?
  10. all kids under 13 get in FREE mate, all you pay for is you and the Mrs :winky: and yes you would have to park with the public..................The Pod is one off the best meets to go to mate, as there are some very nice cars and very fast at that ← Thanks Marcus, I'll have to try and get over :winky:
  11. So... If I turn up with Mrs9r + 3 kids (all under 13) I pay £30 at the gate, and go park in the public car park, and enjoy the day as spectators? Sorry if this has already been explained - bit confusing :duh: :duh: :duh:
  12. Many thanks SL01 & Dave, Had my caravan sitting accross the road for about 9 months now (since I bought the GS), too worried about getting a tow bar fitted for the fear of b :tsktsk: g the gearbox. I don't feel ashamed towing a van - cheap unlimited holidays :P > > > > plus I'm an old fart with 100 kids
  13. Have either of you guy's had an oil cooler fitted to your LS's? When I enquired about towing a caravan with my GS, they all said I would have to have an oil cooler fitted (being an auto) which worked out costing more than the tow bar itself
  14. Mmmmm... good news I 'spose, still too dear though 5 years ago a litre of unleaded cost 38 pence :o :duh: :D
  15. Downstream 1097 Kbps (137.1 KB/sec) 1184 Kbps (inc. overheads) Upstream 243 Kbps (30.4 KB/sec) 262 Kbps (inc. overheads) 2Mb connection
  16. Ahmet, I have the TomTom Go Classic, which is the base model. The only thing the Classic doesn't have that the 300> have is the Bluetooth capabilities. What is strange though, is that at most places I've seen them for sale, the Classic is still dearer than the 300 ...
