  1. Hold hard there troops, I think I've solved my own dilemma. I had a similar situation in the car before last that I owned, so I bought a cable that plugged into the OBD port and I kept it I've remembered. So as long as it's long enough I'll use that and if not I'll get a longer one.
  2. Where do you guys plug in your dash cam ? I have a Nextbase which comes with a 12V plug to connect to the cigar lighter. This wasn't a problem in my previous car, but the cigar lighter is hidden under the sliding phone tray in this car, which makes things a little awkward. I ask this question because after self installing the cam in my last car, someone on a forum discovered there was a spare feed inside the plastic covering around the rearview mirror and there was a small fitting kit available from America, which made short, easy work of fitting a dash cam. So my real question is; is there anything similar that I can't see in the Lexus, or is it a case of putting up with the cigar lighter or getting it hard wired in ??
  3. Thanks for the heads up, but as previously stated I certainly won't be paying those prices. The ones on ebay are better priced, but there's not enough info about which spec and year of NX. However, it makes no difference as today I collected my new car and in 57 years of buying and owning cars, this was easily the best collection and handover experience I've had. I came from a 2022 Hyundai Tucson which I rated quite highly in the driving experience stakes, but this Lexus is definitely a cut above that, not in a dynamic way, but in an enjoyable, restful way. The drive home to west Somerset from Swindon was what I can only describe as serene. The question of mats and boot liner is now superfluous as the ones I took out of my previous car fit well enough. Next job is to figure out how all the technology works. much of it is like my previous car but a lot of it works differently. Here's a pic of the car in Sonic Titanium. Hope the attachment works as I'm not sure how I managed it.
  4. TPMS sensors have a shelf life, so maybe yours needs replacing as it's 6 years old.
  5. I live a good distance away from the dealer I'm buying from, so I doubt I'll ever see them after I pick up the car today. It's all happened very quickly, only had a test drive this Tuesday and saw the car I'm buying at the same time. I'm happy with the deal I got, so I don't need to chase them for extras.
  6. I did consider that, but I deem the deal I've got would preclude asking for more. To be fair, I can get a set for a little over £20, although not the best qualty. Thankyou for the welcome 😁.
  7. Thankyou Tim, I'll be up your way tomorrow to pick up my new car in Swindon. Thankyou for your suggestion, but I certainly won't be paying Lexus Parts Direct prices and I've never owned an Apple product, nor will I.
  8. I'll find this out soon enough, but I have a need to know now! Can destinations be entered into the sat nav via voice command in my new 350H ?
  9. Posting pictures, now that could pose a challenge 🙃
  10. Thankyou both. It's going to take me a while to figure out how this forum works. On and off, it's just taken me all evening to figure out how to sign back in !! Second question; I'll be looking to source a set of rubber mats and also a rubber (plastic) boot liner if the one from my current car doesn't fit. Any suggestions for reasonably priced items and I'm not going to pay Lexus prices?
  11. Hi all, Just joined, so thanks for having me. Picking up my new NX 350H Premium 4WD on Friday and hoping that the legendary Lexus reliability and good dealer network works for me. I'm sure I'll have questions as a newbie to Lexus and hopefully I'll have some contributions to make as well. First question; Is there a dedicated section for each model or is it just a melting pot for all models and specs ?z
