thanks for the info guys appreciate your experience ,update ,the garage got back to me today after speaking with the previous owner but she cant shine any light on the fact the switches are not there ,so ive found the switches in a breakers ,boot release and the light ,should be here in the week .ok so the plug connection is there i can feel it ,would you go ahead and plug it in ,whats bothering me is was it removed maybe because there was a fault,so by plugging it back in may cause something ,and how does the panel come away as it needs to be fitted from the back ,dont want to break anything ,i could plug it in and see if the things work before putting it all back, but if they dont then at least the gap is filled

is there anyway i can find out the spec ,with my slk i gave my chassis number on the forum and got a complete spec list ,as everything on it was added extras all cars were slightly different. that way at least ill know what should be there ,then look at putting it back
