OK, I drive an IS3, but are you trying to tell me that K&N are telling porkies with their claim of 8.5bhp with the Typhoon on the IS3? It looks and sounds the Mutt's and is my beast engine mod so far.... ← i agree, induction roar is a wonderful thing, but do you really believe the OEM induction system is so badly designed, it is costing 8.5bhp, a lot of aftermarket manufacturers do carry out back to back tests, but almost always compare their brand new kit to the standard kit which usually has a very very 'used' OEM filter, the only way to back up K&N's claims is a dyno, even on a dyno the results are not as they would seem, as a lot of OEM systems utilise a degree of ram-air effect. but for an accurate test, the existing induction system has to be as new. but i am always willing to be proved wrong, so if anyone is thinking of an induction change, and have the time, money etc it would be interesting to see the before and after dyno reslts ← surely you mean the opposite? if a very used OEM filter was in before u wouldnt get as much gains? or am i reading it wrong

Guys you may not like other peoples mod's, infact you may despise them. But respect them as they are the owners choices, each person is individual otherwise it would be boring.
