  1. Lbeex Thank you for that, I have now found the smart entry & start switch & all is well with the world, well almost.
  2. If anyone's interested, I did get the Ctec battery monitor, connected it directly to the 12v battery & placed it in the little box set into the battery cover under the rear seat, it fitted very well. To check the battery voltage, just pop the small cover off & check the led's, this also gives a convenient plug to charge the battery from a Ctek smart charger. However, it seems the 12v battery is hardly ever fully charged & the monitor is usually showing red, so no real help. I have had the LBX for 2 months now, being retired, we don't use the car a lot & had no problem from the 12v battery & I've stopped worrying about it. I have, however bought a small battery booster, just in case.
  3. Thanks for that Colin, but as I said in an earlier post, I have the 'Urban' so it doesn't have smart entry. I am more than happy pressing a button on the key fob to unlock/lock the car.
  4. I thought the smart entry was using your phone, I have never used/wanted that. When I first had the car, the hybrid system would start if the key fob was anywhere inside the car, now it has to be right next to the power button.
  5. Yes, both batteries were replaced, locking & unlocking the car can still be done from a long distance away, so there's plenty of power in them, but they have to be right next to the power button to start it. It's probably something I've done because I don't understand all the tech & the menus, thankfully I've only got the 'Urban' & not one with even more bells & whistles.
  6. I was trying to sort out the keys, to register one for me & one for my wife (haven't managed it yet) but now, as Briar has said, key fob has to be right next to the power button to to get it into ready mode. What have I done? Love the car, but hate all the unnecessary, distracting tech.
  7. Thanks Bob99, I'm not sure if it was holding the key over the power button, or just leaving it alone for a while, but panic over the car starts. Thanks again, it's nice to know there are people like you, willing to help others.
  8. The 12v battery is fine, doors unlock ok, however I've been trying to sort out the two keys for my wife & myself. I get no indication on the dash & nothing happens when I press the 'Power' button, it seems dead. Having been playing about with two keys in quick succsession, have I activated the immobiliser & does it reset?
  9. Thanks very much, NemesisUK. I'm having trouble negotiating the handbook, why can't we have a proper paper one?
  10. Thanks, but the touch sensitive lights I found, it's getting them to come on when a door is opened, and then extinguishing after a delay. As all the cars I have ever owned since the 60's have.
  11. This is probably going to be a daft question, but how do you get the internal courtesy lights to come on when a door is opened. I can switch them all on manually, but have failed to get them door operated.
  12. Thanks EEH, I thought of a 12v cigarette plug in version, as it would be the simplest, but as you say the car has to be on (ready) for it to be powered, so you only get the charging voltage from the traction battery. Nice to have a bit more information, but ideally I want to see the voltage with no charging voltage applied. I thought about rewiring the cigarette lighter socket to a permanent feed, but as it's a new car, I'd rather not mess about with it. I have just found Ctek monitor for less than £9, so I'll give that a try first. Thanks for the help guys.
  13. Hi Colin, thanks for that, it's good to know they work well. I'd only want to check it occasionally, so something like that would be fine, also thinking about the Ctek monitor, only red, amber & green leds, but would probably suffice, also easy to connect Ctek charger, unless someone knows different. Cheers Dave
  14. Hi, I've just bought a nearly new LBX, love it, slowly getting my head round all the tech. With all the posts on 12v battery issues, I'm thinking of fitting a battery monitor to keep an eye on things. Has anyone fitted one, if so which one or type? Dave
