  1. Not so reassuring...I'm sure Lexus are working flat out with car insurers to sort this issue out...which is what I'd be doing if it was my product at stake....my UX cost me almost twice as much to insure compared to my old 325i...I'm hoping that will reduce next year and beyond😉
  2. I'm no expert...but would say it depends on whether or not the car's 'stability' is affected...for example if excessive movement is detected. Personally, I would always try to park it in a public space, as opposed to some dark corner down a backstreet. It's a pain to have to consider such options, but I guess it comes with the territory when you buy a Lexus😉
  3. FWIW - either way, they both look v cool..Best of luck🙂
  4. I have to be extremely careful here...I'm in the CS...I will say no more😉😆
  5. Those LC500s are waaaay too cool🙂
  6. Not quite Andy - although a car went over the same edge the day before...as some daftee couldn't manage to park it properly😆
  7. It may be a ‘major advantage’ in your book my friend, but only if it has the technical reliability to back it up…we all know the ‘major disadvantages’ the Lexus app suffers from. I rest my case…I’m done here😉😎
  8. Have you tried using the in-car controls to achieve the aim? Why worry about using an app to run your car? Whatever happened to app-free car ownership?
  9. All I will say is…if you’re looking on Autotrader, plenty of UX 250h’s being advertised as 300h’s.. ..so beware…just make sure you’re looking at the car you want😉
  10. I think sometimes a bit of dirt can cast a different perspective on a car...used to have a Volvo 850 estate in dark metallic green, which looked quite cool with dirt sprayed up both sides😉
  11. So here's mine - braving Bert the storm😉
  12. So where's yours then Ronnie?😉
  13. I’ve had recent experience of driving 3 Lexus cars - my own (of course) and two courtesy cars….a UX and an LBX. My own is an F Sport, and the other two were F Sport Designs. The ride quality on all 3 was exactly the same….fidgety, and not particularly great over rough or potholed ground. It’s a Lexus thing in my opinion, and the Aftersales manager at my Lexus dealer - who has extensive experience of the newer smaller Lexus models - agrees. It’s something you’ll probably need to get used to. I don’t think it helps they all ran on runflat tyres either….as yours probably does. How you deal with the runflats is up to you….there are options, all flagged up elsewhere on this forum🙂
  14. The UX won’t go like the XF that’s for sure (I came from a BMW 3 litre straight six), but I’m happy with the comfort, the looks, the badge and the economy (circa 55mpg ALL the time). I had a rocky start to UX ownership, but now it’s fixed, it feels right. If being a boy racer is no longer your thing…and you’re not too bothered with your boot space shrinking a bit…then go for it😉
