Hey Mojo, like the idea of 'Snow Day's' perhaps we can declare a Team Lexus Snow Day when the weather get's bad and all take the day off.
-
Best one I've seen is a Ferrari 355 with the plate 'BEG 4 1T' very nice - wouldn't like to guess what he paid for that. Also so a nice Porsche 911 this weekend in Bath with the licence 'DODG1E'

Nice images, thanx for setting up the login saves a lot of time and shares them around well.

Welcome to the club Jinja, I suspect you will be up for some serious posing through Shinjuku and around the other expats in Tokyo. Should be a great car for cruising around and seeing Japan.

Steve,
I think the site in general looks top mate, great job, speeding up the access time with load balancing sounds like a great plus that I think we'd all like to see. What size pipe is it connected to ?

Mojo, I used to have Eagle F1's on a previous car and found them quite good, but it was FWD as opposed to rear wheel drive - haven't tried them on the IS yet. Taken the simple and approach of leaving the IS in the garage when it snows but enjoying it fully for the rest of the year

Hey Chris this is rapidly turning into a mini-meet. Hopefully it will be a nice day given the time of year.
-
Seems we all have the same problems in snow, I just bought a second car and will use that this year when the weathers bad and leave my IS locked up indoors.

Thanks but I love the look of summer tyres and the grip they get, perhaps a halfway house tyre for performance that still gets traction would be good. If going to the Alps I think you'd definitely want winter tyres or chains even depending on when you travel, I guess the ideal is two sets of wheels for summer and winter usage.

Love it !

Guys, I heard from a friend that the standard Bridgestone tyres fitted to the IS are terrible in the snow even with the traction control, has anyone any experience of this ?

I found the same problem with the Auto Glym spary tyre dressing, I still use iut, however have changed the way I finish the cleaning process, after washing the car when cleaning the wheels and tyres I wash off the brake dust, then dress the tyres before wax finishing the alloys, I find that the wax on the alloys which I apply with a cloth (standard car wax) adds a protective coating which means that most of the brake dust comes off straight away and leaves the wheels looking great. I may stiull move the the green stuff pads and disks however after the suggestions earlier

Chris, I hope there's plenty of parking at the new premises, I remember the old one needing to park infront of a Saab dealer.

Clare, since you are in Berks, haven't you tried the dealer in Bracknell near the John Nike centre, I've passed it many times in mine when I'm in the area on business but never tried it out for services etc.

Hi again Claire,
Seems like you have reason enough to be scathing about the brand. do u thin ku bought a dud or your dealer is the dud? Sounds like there are various standards between dealers.
I have been to get my radio back on and it is proving a 'mare!!
It's certainly my experience and it's unfortunate to say it with such a great brand like Lexus and all that stands for quality and workmanship, but dealers are very different. Personally I have found that Lexus in Coventry is the best one so far, service is excellent, personal care is also excellent and believe me it has to be for me to drive from London to their to be happy. I would love for a ranking of dealers to appear here in the club with peoples ratings.
Perhaps Clare has had a bad experience?

I'm up for some karting, the track in MK may be a bit far south but it's a huge outdoor track - grand prix style, excellent fun - location is just of the A5 at Milton Keynes.

They do tend to pull a crowd, wait till you see them all parked together at the meets. Definitely a sight to be seen.

Does anyone know of or can recommend a paint based lacquer that can be used on the calipers such that the job could be done without the hassle of removing them and bleeding the brakes etc?

Did you manage to get it sorted ?

But seriously the next major goal has to be continued growth in membership and the aim for 1000 members on Gold.
Perhaps a mail drop with the benefits would help, maybe a lot of people don't visit the site very often.

This sounds more like you expect from a Lexus dealership, I've found the same from Coventry, great place and excellent service, need to speak with them about the club discounts next time I'm up there though.
