Which meguiars wax do I need to use for an astral black Lexus for good results? Never used this stuff before, is it any good? People on here seem to bang on about it the whole time!

Hi Guys Would there be an interest in developing new interior light consoles ie Dome light and map light for the IS200 in here guys? I recently took out the map lights console and saw how crappy it was. I replaced the bulbs in them with blue LED bulbs, but it aint really the same. If you could make a console replacement with a cathode tube in it or really bright LED's to give your interior an ambient glow, it would be excellent. Theres more light and ambience out of a cigarette lighter that the OEM setup Lexus have going on!! Bare with me on this one!! Its late and I dont have photoshop!!! + a beer or two ;) Remember guys some of the best designs were drawn on Napkins! (A)Would people be up for looking into the possibillity of this? Hi CP409135 Wores??? Excuse my dumbness this morning but how would you go about wiring cathodes into the footwells? Is there a certain wire to tap into? Would you need to put them on a switch?etc etc etc

Hi Zee Thanks but the crappy LED's I was talking about were from ultraleds! They look a bit homemade-ish. They are like the poor mans cathodes.

Hello All, Is there any good websites or have you guys any experience modding the interior lighting of your cars? I dont mean the dials, I mean like the roof light, footwells maplights etc. I have tried replacing the bulbs in the dome light and the maplights to blue LED;s and they are not all they are cracked up to be. I would like to have a nice blue floodlit interior but with these stupid LED bulbs I am a good bit off the mark yet!

Fitted these PIAA Xtreme Forcebulbs to my driving lamps and boy whay a difference! Very very impressive. Its a really nice cool blue light. Happy chappy :D

Q. Can cold cathodes be run from an a/c source? A. Although the inverters for cold cathodes all require 12 volts DC for power, through the use of an a/c adapter they can be powered directly from a standard wall outlet. :D

Ok I think I found What I need here to do the job.So I went and ordered it! I think its just a job of connecting up the black to black, red to red of this kit to the light connector in the boot. FAMOUS LAST WORDS The cathode tube is 24" in length. That should be ample to light up the boot. I will take some pics when I get the bad boy installed. Thanks Brettster for the pointer.

Heres one for the electrical gurus out there! In the Is there is a crappy little wedge type bulb in the boot. Would it be possible to replace this with a cold cathode tude to illuminate the cargo area when the boot lid is opened? Has anyone done anything like this? Are there plug and play tubes out there that you can get? All advice/comments welcome!

Hello All! Weirdest thing happened today. I park my IS200 up the side of the house opposite a side window. Inside this side window is a microwave, and when you turn it on it sets off the alarm in the car :D Anyone else any such experiences? I guess if I wanna use the microwave I have to move the car in future :D
