  1. I hear you Zee! I am of the same opinion! I will email TTE straight away. As this is twice now in the one day!
  2. just plugged out the relevant fuses for the couple of seconds and popped them back in. The car seems fine now though. I reckon its the spring! ← Owen - get a dyno sorted bud. This will tell you everything about how your ride is running and what is wrong. Since I had the decatted manifold and race pipe done, I've had the CEL twice.....under some hard driving. From the dyno I know the fuelling is running too lean so the solution for me is to fit an Emanage and remap the ECU to take account of all that extra power. Don't panic mate! ← I was just out in the car again there and took it for a spin. I was in second gear and put the foot down and again the engine CEL light came on and the flashing TRC light also. Its like the engine goes into a safe mode because when this happened and I went to reapply my foot to the pefal there was nothing. It didn't even rev. I turned off the engine left it for a sec and then started her up again. I was able at this point to rev the car againbut the lights were still there. Pulled into driveway and left car for like 10 mins and came back out and started her up again and the lights had cleared. Just got off the phone to TheDon and we are starting to think its not the spring on the butterfly valve at all but more a fuelling issue with the Piggy back ECU not doing its job! Getting on to TTE right now. Aparently this is quite a common issue with the piggy back ECU. The Piggy back ECU is the only electrical thing that needed to be added during the install, so I am nearly sure its this!!
  3. Is the silver ECU better? I have the black one. I wonder if I told them I had the silver one would they send me out a new one if the silver ones are in fact better?

  5. CEL??? No not had her dyno'd yet. Is it advisable? During a dyno do they just give you ur max BHP or do they actually tune the car also?
  6. Guys As you will all know by now I supercharged the car last week. Well today I was driving down the road and when I went to accelerate the engine management light came on and the TRC light was flashing. Pulled over and turned engine off. Started the engine back up again and the lights were still there. Reset the ECU and lights were still there. Drove back to friends house and we got out scratching our heads wondering what was going on. Everything looked OK. I was abit worried so I said I would carefully drive the car to Lexus to see if we could pull some errors from the OBDII port. When I got in the car to drive to the garage the lights had all gone. Back to normal! When I got to the garage they said the last error code generated was "Throttle Motor Lock Malfunction" Could this be due to the dodgey original TTE spring that opens and closes butterfly valve getting stuck when I went to accelerate? TTE are sending me over the new uprated spring for free.
  7. maybe the new blood will step up n raise the bar a bit! it will be a shame to let her go, but i will get myself another lexus! ← I'm trying to do my bit to replace some of these cars that are leaving us! Come on new members get some loans organised!!!

  9. At last the car is finally goint to a lexus dealership garage this wednesday for a none expense spared checkup! This is what should have been done from day one. So I have a good feeling the end of the knock is nigh!!!
  10. Just got a reply back from TTE Europe after sending them an email last night! They are sending me out the new spring mechanism free of charge!! Now thats fast efficient service!

  15. Brought the car to a show this afternoon for a laugh and ended up winning an excellent Pioneer headunit for the "Best Jap Car" category.The interest around the car was unreal and when they heard it the whole show stopped and looked around! I cant stop smiling!!!!!!!

  17. After a long wait to install the charger she finally went in on Friday night! My *** what a difference! Took some pictures throughout the install! Big Big thank you to The Don for helping me out! We started at 6pm friday night and worked the whole way through the night finishing at 9am assisted by our liquid friend RedBull!! 18:00HRS Naturally Aspirated 19:00HRS Yes Chris its a Silicon hose! Custom Induction Pipe 01:00HRS Quick Power Nap I'm not doing anything but it looks good! 02:00HRS Whose that handsome bloke on the left! SAT 09:00 Lack of sleep and a blunt hacksaw blade later and heres the result! :D
  18. Guys does anyone have a clear colour digital image of the way the black box with the TTE Supercharger kit is wired into the cars ECU? This is just to speed up the install time!!
  19. Picked the car up from the garage AGAIN today. They replaced the top bushings and top ball joint on the front drivers side. Driving home and my fisrt turn left I hear "Knock" I felt like smashing the bloody steering wheel. This is really annoying me now! No better off than I was two weeks ago! Its going back!!!!!!!! The problem is its a BMW dealership as I bought the car there second hand. Should I cut my loses and tell them I want it to go to Lexus?

  22. After going back to the dealer this morning they are now replacing the top bushings and top ball joint for me. This was only after creating a bit of a scene on the forecourt. lol There was the threat made of landing a Nissan Pathfinder in through the main dealership window half joking half serious lol If after all this the knock is still there then the bottom ball joint will be replaced. Hopefully though the new bushings and top ball joint will do the trick! Watch this space
