I’m probably going to have to get new tyres in the next few months. I’m told the Bridgestone Alenza are still hard/impossible to find (though my dealer may have access to some). I’m thinking of moving to Michelin Cross Climate 2. What are people’s experience of them, and how many miles do you get from them? The Bridgestones will have done about 20k

Personally, I find they always bang on about the CVT gearbox being noisy, I came from decades of traditional automatic gearboxes and it has been no issue! I literally hear no difference when I switch from electric to petrol power

I called my usual tyre company having found none online. They did a national search and there are NO Bridgestone runflats in the country or Europe! I frankly think it is outrageous to sell any car , let alone one at this price and with a reputation for customer service with tyres you can’t replace easily. The only current option is ordinary tyres and cross your fingers you don’t get a puncture. SHOCKING!😡

Where did you get this figure? I’ve done 1426 miles since I got mine, inc one trip of 250 miles. My average mpg is 122mpg and my range has risen from 40 to 49 miles so far in just under 2 months

I have the 450h+. I know tyres are a bit contentious, but just watched a very interesting YouTube video testing 3 identical Hankook tyres, run flat, sealed and regular and the conclusion was the new run flats came out very well. Spurred on by this I investigated what was on the market and how much and it appeared almost impossible to buy run flats for this car 235/50 r20 100v. And if I saw them they were silly money. What is your real life experience when you need new tyres please and what did you choose?

Firstly, tyre pressure. I specifically asked the dealer what the pressure should be and he had it higher at the back than the front. I read a thread here and someone pointed out that on the door plate it says 33psi all round. Anyone know why this is? It clearly is not just my dealer. I’ve reset mine to 33psi. Has anyone noticed a difference after doing so? Secondly, I have the run flat Bridgestones. I know a lot of folks aren’t keen on these. I’ve read positive things about the Michelin. I’d welcome the group’s experiences and wisdom.
