  1. I received a card with a code written on it and then received 2 emails - I think one was for the tracker and one for the OBD device. I also couldn’t register with the serial number on the card, which was on one of the emails but the other email had a serial number that worked. It was a longer, numerical code if I remember correctly. I had received the emails by the time I got home from the dealer.
  2. I had the free tracker fitted last week by the Reading dealer when they were trying to fix my bricked nav system (trying being the word). My NX is a 24 reg MY25 model. I just asked about it when I booked the work a month ago.
  3. I also had this error and my nav is bricked for the moment. I used a 32gb usb 2.0 stick formatted for fat32. I have my NX booked into the dealer for next week. I hope it’s a quick fix. Agree this is very disappointing as I was told the car would get updates OTA then found I had to download them myself and then the update bricks the system. Stunning, Lexus!
  4. yes, assumed the same - at least it'll be correct for 5 months in winter. Maybe there'll be a software update fix before Spring (can dream!) 😀
  5. I'd like to go back in time to before I tried doing the latest map update myself .....😀
  6. I've been using Apple Maps since I screwed up the built-in nav map update, and noticed today that the arrival time shown in the display is 1 hour less than it should be - actual time was 13:32, arrival time 12:55 ! On the main screen using Carplay, Apple Maps shows the correct arrival time 13:55. Anyone else having this issue ?
  7. It does seem a bit cheap by Lexus. One concern with fitting something on the OBD port is how easily removable it is by a thief. I'd read that they plugged something into the OBD port to program a new key so they could just pull the tracker unit out & drop it out the door, unless it is somehow locked in place on the OBD port.
  8. Thanks - interesting that it's that model. I had a look on the Tracker site and according to the feature comparison, the Retrieve doesn't support the use of the app or geofencing, which were mentioned in the press release. It looked more likely to be the Locate version... but I suppose anything is better than nothing.... https://www.tracker.co.uk/products/retrieve-battery-powered
  9. I tried the map update from the e-store (Spring 2024 update) and despite the system recognising the update on the USB stick, accepting the licence key entered and going through the update process for an hour, it ended with an error that has now bricked my nav system. I have to get the dealer to investigate & resolve this. Lesson learnt.
  10. Just spoke to my local dealer (Reading) and they confirmed my car is in scope for a free tracker - I got my NX in June this year (MY25).
  11. Thanks - is the USB stick 2.0 or 3.0/3.1/3.2 ?
  12. what kind of USB stick did you use ? I bought a USB 2.0 stick as I had seen elsewhere on the forum someone saying it has to be USB 2 not USB 3. My current file copying is taking more than 5 mins......
  13. I logged into the e-store yesterday and saw the 2024 update which had recently arrived. I went through the purchase process and downloaded the file - it’s a 23Gb zip file, 27Gb when unzipped so that’s not coming over the air anytime soon! I started copying the update to a USB stick but after 3 hours gave up as it was only about 40% through. God knows how long it would take to copy from the stick to the car. Definitely keep the car in ready mode for that! I think I’ll get the dealer to do it instead.
