  1. Eightk, thank you for that suggestion. I called Hedge End and they are now trying to find me the car. They were helpful so fingers crossed.
  2. There is a huge lack of LC 500 available to buy. Patiently waiting on some to come up. The wait is a struggle.
  3. The stuff you may need is Sonus Paintwork Cleanser and a decent claybar like medium meguires.
  4. I am angry for you Tom, very sorry to hear that. I actually caused this to my own car one time. I lit a fire burning bushes but the wind changed after I left it and the ash landed all over my brand new Alfa Romao Brera. Next day I noticed and in the end, after much cleaning and polishing I bought a professional polisher and taught myself how to cut back and polish paintwork. Before going that far, try using a claybar then an intermediate cleanser cream to properly clean the paintwork.
  5. Thank you Simon, that explains an image of the rear high brake light which looked like it had a split in it.
  6. Could I also ask owners if there are any breaks in the read screen brake light, or is it all one piece of plastic/trim across the rear window?
  7. Marcus, what was the cost of PPF the LC if you dont mind me asking?
  8. Malc1 I wasn't concerned about the road tax amount, just trying to clear up a question on the difference in road tax I was seeing. I missed out on the Red LC500 at Castle Motors by 2 hours. I am still looking. There is a 60k + Sonic Silver LC500 for sale at the minute with red and black interior but the same car was for sale just a few months ago. I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge of it or why it is being sold so quickly after its last sale?
  9. I have not secured my lc500 yet but I'm up for a run when I do.
  10. Yes it is a problem and one that is unnecessary as the addition of Ethanol to Petrol has no positive effect on carbon decrease in the environment. It simply decreases the effectiveness of the burn in a normal petrol engine and then the engine uses more fuel (mix of petrol and ethanol and a few other chemicals).
  11. Malc1 It is very hit and miss. E5 stared to be phased out across Europe last summer and southern Ireland is in the EU. You might still be able to get it in Dublin and Cork in very select garages. In Northern Ireland which is UK, E5 is still available in garages like Shell and BP.
  12. I am sure it is new v8 that are banned.
  13. There are very few of these in Northern Ireland and almost none in Ireland as they banned the v8 from sale. I managed to go see one in the flesh for about an hour and I also managed to sit in a red and tan one in Vegas but other than that they are like hens teeth here.
  14. No unfortunately not. I am trying to buy my car from Northern Ireland so actually seeing any of these in the flesh is not likely, but that colour combination of that dark blue and the tan looked like it worked very well indeed.
  15. Tom I looked at that dark blue with tan LC last week. Now I know why it disappeared from sale. Nice car.
  16. I am really starting to like the LC500 at Castle Motors. Did or does anyone on here own this car? Could I also just check what the actual annual road tax is on this car as well? registration AX67HCY
  17. Yes I saw the tan and red yesterday and spoke to the dealer. It is a clean car but no ML sound upgrade. Can I ask those owners that know, how much less the sounding the standard audio is compared to the ML? I guess the louder engine due to no GPF will make up for the loss of audio.
  18. That is a stunning colour for the LC.
  19. Thank you and yes I have reached out to that owner. The car is a great spec but the alloys are corroded and also kerbed quite badly. Does anyone know if it is possible to properly refurbish these rims? I imagine polishing that very unique shape would be a task that may would not attempt. Replacement rims are super expensive.
  20. Watching Autotrader, cargurus and other sites every day, I am searching for my perfect spec LC500. I appreciate that there are not too many up for sale and so I thought I would put a post out and see if it gets any response. I also understand that in order to actually get a car I will need to be flexible on certain aspects. With all that in mind this is my perfect spec and would result in immediate purchase. Ideally 2018 Car or newer Model Preference in order : Sport Plus, Sport, Standard Colour Preference in order : Sonic Titanium, Sonic Silver, InfraRed Milage : Under 30k, 30-40k, consider higher milage if other choices are fulfilled Interior : Tan, Black & Red, Black (this is a big one, the Tan interior would weigh heavy on my decision) Nice to haves : ML Sound Upgrade, HUD I live in Northern Ireland but would be happy to travel to pick up the ideal car. In short, if anyone out there has a 2018 Sonic Titanium Sport Plus with 20k and Tan interior for around £50k please sell me it .... please. Northern Ireland needs this car driving around in it.
  21. So as luck would have it, after months of looking to try and see a car in the flesh, a yellow limited edition LC with only 4k miles on it appeared in a not too far away car dealer here in NI. I called the garage and immediately went to see the car in the flesh as it were. I did not consider yellow as an option but after seeing it and the matching interior door panels I actually am growing to like it ... I think. Maybe it is just the car's presence that I was taken by. It is a lot larger in real life and beautifully proportioned. The interior really is very special and images do not do it justice at all. Can I ask what the differences or extras are on a limited edition other than the different colour seats and matching door panels?
  22. Jgtcracer, that is good to have been confirmed, I figured it would make sense in both ways. My issue is that locally to me there are very few options. The best I can guarantee is E5. I think either Esso or BP still offer premium with no Ethanol but I am not sure which still do.
  23. Congrats, I am fairly certain that I will join the club very soon as well, just need to Iron out a few points. Simon, what did you buy?
  24. Some other questions to daily drivers of the LC500 ... 1. Do you owners use regular Petrol with Ethanol and does that lower power, or, do you opt for Premium Fuel? 2. Earlier models do not have android auto or apple play but will the phone work via bluetooth for calls and possibly passing music through?
  25. IronLizard, thanks for that. I know it probably sounds like a stupid question to ask but without actually seeing a car it is very hard to actually know. One of the main reasons I was looking at the S560 instead was because of the larger rear seats. I think it will work well enough for the kids.
