  1. Update. This issue has now been resolved for me. It turns out it is a known issue which was rectified with a software update and relates to an adjustment for the control of the timing chain
  2. I haven’t timed it robpace, but I would say the noise is excessive for less than 30 seconds and then reduces quite a bit, but it takes a further minute or so to really quiet down to an acceptable level.
  3. In answer to the question from robpace, the noise does subside after a short while.
  4. Hi. I have the same thing on my 2022 450H. It sounds dreadful. Have a listen to the attached video. It has been into Lexus 4 times and they keep giving me the brush off. I made an appointment with the Service Manager today. She had an update from Lexus and she said there was a software update to address Hydraulic Pressure Specification of the Chain Tensioner. I questioned how a “Software Update” can fix a mechanical problem and I was assured it would. It sounds as if this is a known issue which is being swept under the carpet. Lexus 3.MOV
