Anyone looking for a great bargain
Due in a showroom near you sometime after 3rd Feb.
Messa Red IS250 SEL fully loaded
48,000 mls
WK 57 GKP
End of lease but should be good value.
Complete new front end following crash Feb 2010
Like new with new engine - only done 8,000 mls.
Keep eyes open if you are after one.
Probably wont go out as my description but I think well worth a look.
And seeing how Lexus stitched me slightly its a good bargaining tool to know.

Hi All
After Four Hi spec Lexus over 12 years.
Everybody thinks I am having a mid life crisis.
Had so much fun with Lexus but even though Bolton have given me fantastic service its time to move on.
Ordered:
Volvo C30 R T5
White - Auto - Black White Seats with Toys.
Son:Has dis-owned me and thinks I have lost the plot.
Daughter:Won't talk to me - because she likes being driven around in Luxury.
Wife:Whinging that its not big enough for the shopping.
Am I wrong - Love the design. or Big Mistake. I am sure I will find out after the six week delivery.
I will continue to call in and wish you all the best -

New engine? why did it need that?
Glad to see it's all sorted :)
Good question.
I drove it down the hard shoulder for 2 miles to next junction. to get out of the snow + ice danger.

I've recently modified mine to a transformer !
Ouch, that hurts even to look at . It looks as if it was a low speed shunt though, was it? The crumple zones work only too well.
Pleased to say no injury
Sudden icy slush - Surprised the air bags didn't go off
Hit a merc @ about 60 mph glad he was going in the same direction

I gave up after a few months found the only way I could access my desk DDI messages was to use screen phonebook for DDI then use speed dial on mobile to access password to messages.
Good luck post if you do it any other way

any official Lexus / motor trade figures and/or what you see on the roads... - I think black and silver are pretty common. I suppose options-wise it's IS250 SE Auto with MM pack?
Good choice
Rare site round my area but looks the dogs when its clean
Had 3 black Lexi in the past and Messa Red stays looking good longer

I am using the SatNav and use the setting to show the 'time to reach destination' but so far I cannot see where you actually set the time on the system. Does it set automatically through the RDS signal or am I missing something, ta
is250 SE-L
Time is automatically calculated to the settings of road type speeds
IE:
20MPH URBAN
40MPH EXTRA URBAN
65MPH MOTORWAY
Read manual for setting road speeds

I have 700 entries in my MM System Phone Book
It says it will take 1000
but I can't get it to accept more than 700
any ideas ?

You can save the setting on one button to push whel into your chest and seat right forward so you squash any scrote that tries to steal it ;) Make sure you have remembered that you have done it though :)
Very Good
Take a note Miss Jones !
I must remember the scrote position for next time my office buddy wants to use my car because his Beamer is in for another repair (again)

Any news on this problem, mine sounds like a diesel until it warms up. Had it serviced and the dealer said they couldn't reproduce the problem. When I started up and drove away it sounded twice as bad as the is250 loan car. When I got home I dug out a long screwdriver and removed the top engine cover. The noise is the loudest around the rear left quarter of the engine and I believe it to be the mechanical fuel pump on the engine, driven off the left most cam. Could it be the fuel pump?? can the clearance between the cam and fuel pump be tightened up?
My symptoms are a tappet type noise worse under light acceleration until the engine is up to operating temperature.
Mine sounds like a diesel from new, even when its warm - but its not worried lexus ?

Hello,
I plan to pick up a 2005 RX400h SE-L next week, and I can't remember if the central sliding storage bin has a socket from which I can charge my phone.
I realise that the standard dashboard socket isn't far away, but I don't like to see the wires!
If not, has anyone ever asked to have one fitted?
Many Thanks
2005 model - NO
ITS ON VIEW AT THE BACK OF THE CONSULE

Sometimes when I push the starter button (with clutch depressed of course) it will not start. Steering column comes down into place but no ignition, so, try and push button again and steering column goes back up and it all switches off (worst case scenario)
Other times, a few presses of the button will work. Yet other times still car will start first time with just one button push, i.e. steering column comes down and ignition fires up immediately! Sometimes I keep the button pressed for ages and nothing happens, other times it will start after a few seconds - I'm confused!
There is no real pattern to it, everytime I try and start it up it seems to behave differently. Is there a sure fire way to get the engine to start up first time every time?
Thanks for any advice/answers
when you push it, does the green light come on (on the button).. so when you depress the clutch the green light is on.
Don't want to be stupid but is it that the parking brake is off ?

Sorry to read about this story.
Hope you get it back soon.
I always have my fob clipped via a small carabina to my belt because you dont need to use it very often. therefore it never gets left lying around.
