  1. My car was in for its second recall today since new (10 months old) this one was something to do with a fault that could lead to non compliance of GDPR. In my opinion if they feel it is serious enough they recall the car, as a driver I feel this is a serious fault being so distracting and now I’ve got to listen to this all through winter. With regard to the console updated I’ve had between 10-15 updates and today I borrowed a brand new LBX, this was also updating and I myself accepted 5 updates whilst I had the car today. What I like about the LBX is if you switch off lane control it stays off all the time whereas in my UX you annoyingly have to turn it off every journey. Maybe next time your car is in you need to mention you’ve received no updates, they only appear whilst the car is in park, so for example if I power up the car but don’t move off an update can appear and I can accept whilst stationery, but if I drive off it won’t appear again until I park.
  2. Lol your description made me laugh, had so many updates, my console view has recently changed (updated) which I quite like (thankful for small mercies) but why they won’t fix the ongoing issues first is unbelievable, mine spent the whole of today with the regenerative warning on, at least it wasn’t intermittent with all the pinging. Quite enjoying using the climate start from the phone app before I get in and set off so it’s nice and warm and the screens are defrosted but am finding it takes a while for the heater to warm up if you switch it on whist driving. I use Apple Play and Siri and sadly no charging mat (pod) for the phone but I’ve solved that by buying a charging mat with USB from eBay (can’t take the credit for that, it was my brother’s idea) and placing that in the centre console and I pop my phone in there before I set off, luckily there’s a port inside the centre console, Hey Lexus has never worked from the start.
  3. So after successfully receiving updates via the console, one of them which must have updated this warning so that as I mentioned previously I was only getting the warning above 95% of battery charge, now we’re into the colder weather in the UK the warnings back up intermittently for the whole journey (65% charge). I’ve read that the warning comes up when it’s extremely cold, the annoying thing is whilst driving it’s pinging and the warning is coming up, then when the car is idle, for example, in traffic or at traffic lights it goes off completely, so it’s off and on for all of a journey happily pinging away, both distracting and annoying.
  4. My journeys stopped in March after an in car update and haven’t started again, I’ve tried deleting the app and downloading again but still no luck, I’m not keen to change my password again or delete my profile in car seeing as most things are working so living with it for now. 😆
  5. Johdhm thank you I’m sure that will help a lot of people going forward, my method has worked for other people but I remember you started to have problems again. As before I also did this in settings on the app on my phone as I was finding when logged out of the Lexus + app it was losing connection between the phone and car, I’ve reposted a pic from my app in case it helps.
  6. Great news Bob, things are running well for me, the only thing that’s not resolved is the trip summary which still shows the most recent trip as March 2023 but I’m living with that 😂
  7. Sorry to hear that, mines been okay except for in March my trips summary on the app stopped recording trips I don’t want to delete the app again so I’ve just left it and there are threads on here about the same issue. I’ve also noticed after a few updates they seem to have fixed the regenerative brake warning which used to pop all the time, it now only seems to come up if you charge above 90 per cent, that was a right pain because it also beeped every time till it got below about 65 percent. But yes I agree blocking the sat nav screen is such a pain and you can definitely miss a turn off whilst you can’t see it, I don’t think it even lets you enter the password whilst driving so a passenger couldn’t help.
  8. Hi well funnily enough I’ve recently had a few updates through the car console, although they seem to be related to voice updates I’ve accepted them, then approximately 2-3 weeks ago the warning stopped. So at the moment I only get the warning if charged to 100% and then when it gets down to 95% it stops. Although still annoying as it pings and remains on the dash so you can’t see the set up of that part of the dash at least it doesn’t last to long, but like you before this it was on till 80%. It actually has nothing to do with the brakes themselves, what it means is that as you lift your foot off the accelerator and give yourself longer before you brake some charge goes back into the battery, (regenerative braking) you can see that area on the speedometer, to be honest it’s minimal. So what it’s saying is that at 100% it can’t throw any charge back into the battery because the battery is fully or near to full charge, makes sense. The problem really is, we couldn’t care less whether or not braking slower can give back some extra charge and would much more prefer not to know and have a peaceful drive instead. 🤣
  9. That’s great news, I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. I’m just uploading the security setting pic again as the keep me signed in should be toggled to on
  10. See my next answer as I’m putting another screen shot on
  11. If the car console is giving you an option to put the password in then you can do the following. On Lexus plus app click on the person at the bottom of the app then sign out top right. I’ll attach a pic. Log back into the app with your email or phone number (if you’ve added your phone number) then when you get to the next screen there’s an option to reset password at bottom rather than putting your old one in and try to set a new one, see if it will accept with no capitals, for example blue@15about if you have to set a capital then try using just 1 if it will allow. Once you’ve set up your new password log in on the car console with that new password (that’s why I asked if it’s giving you the option in the car). If that does not work then the more drastic option which is the one I did at the Lexus Garage (well they did it for me) On the Lexus plus app instead of signing out as above, there’s an option to delete account on the same page as sign out at the bottom of page, delete account and delete app. In settings in car remove your profile completely so it’s back to how it would be as a new car. Download the app and start again with new password as above or resetting password on the password page. Then set up your profile on the car from new. On the Lexus plus app in security I have require authentication 12 hours (max) and always keep me logged in, pic attached.
  12. See my answer further up about deleting phone app and downloading and registering again with a different uncomplicated password and delete yourself from the car app and reinstall everything, that worked for me I’m using the Lexus plus app Lexus+
  13. Absolutely, I’ve got various ongoing issues with car software and the app!
  14. Hi Bill if you don’t have any joy take a look at how my dealer resolved it above, although this may not be relevant anymore as the latest software update in the car a few weeks ago seems to have caused a few different problems, one of which may be this.
  15. Thank you I will keep my eye on this and see exactly when the warning is coming up, the other day on the motorway it was on for a good 5 mins under 80% charge and if it’s just a warning that it’s not available that’s fine as in that situation with or without the warning I’m going to be depressing the brake to slow down, it’s just removing that warning rather than it lingering is what I would like to achieve, but if it’s because there is a problem then I will definitely take your advice and log it with the dealership.
