I did the update for the RX on Wednesday and my trip history is being recorded correctly in LL+. My update was purely for the Navigation software, whereas I’ve seen some others have had updates to vehicle systems.

Hi Ken, According to the in car system I’m getting 2.6 m/kWh and a combined mpg of approximately 68. I’ve tried to strip out the EV equivalent miles and calculate a pure ICE mpg that came to approximately 38. This is averaged over 4300 miles starting last July. I’ll be interested to hear from others of their experience.

Mine was a rather shocking £945 for social only, no points and grey hair! I tried shopping around but this was the best deal that allowed European holidays. -
Hi, I’m driving the same engine set up in my RX and experience similar misleading range figures. I believe that the overall range is being calculated based upon the in-car calculation of mpg (mine is currently showing approximately 66mpg). This is obviously being distorted by all the occasions where I’m driving purely on EV. Therefore I have seen an overall range in excess of 700 miles, only to see it falling rapidly as we travel on a long journey. The EV range versus real travelled miles I use as a very broad estimate as there’s so many factors that impact the actual outcome. So in summary I tend to ignore the EV range indicator but always refill the petrol when I see 2-3 bars remaining on the graphic. I would like a more accurate range assessment to be displayed, and coming from a background of finance and IT, wouldn’t have thought it was too difficult for Lexus to provide given the car has a mass of data being collected. My ICE also runs during times when I’ve selected EV and still have available range, but having looked through the manual I can see that there are a number of different scenarios that would cause this to happen. Hope you enjoy your car..

Stats on NX 450h+ Predicted EV Range

Excuse me crossing over from the RX forum, but with the same engine I have experienced the same circumstances of there being sufficient EV mileage remaining but the ICE cutting in. I’ve assumed that this is due to the non-drive battery requiring some charge via the alternator. I’ve seen in the manual that this may happen, so I think it’s okay -
As I was considering my purchase I became aware of the current round of theft stories on Autocar. I then searched the internet and headed to the RX forum. Having previously owned a Land Rover I was very familiar with searching the forums for advice on fixes and recommendations…..😁

Lexus Link +

Hi again, I saw a possible answer by Lisa regarding her UX, QUOTE: Thank you so much everyone. I think it’s resolved now, I took to dealers and spent some time with the garage technician. Deleted Lexus plus off phone and deleted everything off car. Set up Lexus plus app with a simple password as others have mentioned only using @ as the symbol, no dashes £ signs etc just @ and I have used a capital letter too, then he reset the car. When connecting he did choose Apple play for me and also added Lexus in Bluetooth. All going well past few days. He even set driver door to only open when I press unlock on key once (twice for rest of doors) as I didn’t want all 4 doors opening each time when I’m on my own and was unlocking. No idea how that’s done but I’m happy with that. One of the ongoing issues which they’re aware of is that if Lexus makes an announcement whilst you’re using apple play like a traffic announcement you can’t hear her voice even though it’s set to loud in the Lexus app. Hope everyone else gets these issues resolved ❤️ -

Hi, A few thoughts that may help… If you previously had that old Lexus Link app makes sure it is not still installed; my dealer recommended removing it when I moved to LL+. Next try uninstalling and reinstalling the LL+ App; it’s been known to work. Finally you may need to ensure that you have agreed to all the various permissions granting Lexus access to your data… I have a YouTube video from the dealer showing how to connect that I’ll try to add, but I think it’s what you’re doing already. Good luck https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ga_mY9adOcg -
You’re welcome. Having worked in a fleet management business I quickly became made aware of the RTFM acronym. 😀 Then again my RX manual weighs in at a hefty 800 pages, so it always takes a while to find things….

Hi, I can confirm that the message should automatically disappear after about one week. I’ve found the section in the manual… (I do like a hard copy manual; strangely easier to navigate than the online version). My week expires tonight so I’m hopeful it will be gone soon.

Feedback following my visit to the dealership is that this is the first report of the wiper issue but that they will monitor for other occurrences. The car has had a software update so I’ll see if the issue still remains.

Hi, I had the same issue with my car. The resolution was to uninstall the Lexus Link app and install the new Lexus Link + app. Apparently the older app is not supported. Hope this helps.

Thanks for doing this review. Like you I’ve noticed that the intermittent wipers fall asleep and need the switch off, switch on routine. I’m also due a dealer visit this week so will ask them about it too.

So page 166 of the manual covers the Passenger and rear seat reminder function. As we’ve discovered so far it can be nullified by holding the left hand steering wheel switch marked OK when the warning occurs, but to permanently disable it requires the dealer to customise the setting according to page 629….
-
Hi bladgb, Despite searching the full 800 page manual plus supplementary Infotainment manual I haven’t (yet) found a permanent way of disabling this function. However I’ve become accustomed to holding the OK button on the left hand steering wheel switch (HUD) and disabling it before exiting the car. This stops the nine beeps when locking alarm. Hope this helps

Hi, I have an RX450h+ and also struggled to determine what was causing the nine beeps (my dealer told me it was due to parking too close to an object, but of course…..). The actual cause is due to if any passenger door or boot has been opened. A warning message is displayed when switching the car off to remind you that something may be left in the car. There’s a prompt to hold the OK button (lower section of the left hand four point button) to disable this feature; however it, of course, requires doing each time. If only the driver’s door has been opened then there’s no warning or beeps. Hope this helps. Kevin
