  1. Hi, if you have the RX with the configurable buttons on the steering wheel you can set a button to be Sport, Normal, Eco or Custom. I’ve set the buttons on the right hand key pad to be (upper) Normal and (lower) Custom as these are the two modes I use most. Hope this helps
  2. Hi, as you would expect, the Takumi model has all the items that you have listed except cooled rear seats, but as far as I am aware no model has the ability to vary the ride height as the cars are on springs not air. The adaptability is limited to the spring/damper responses set between Normal and Sport modes and a gravel/rough road setting selected for low speed driving. I can confirm that the keys are designed to fall asleep after a period of time and this helps prevent boosting the signal. AA is wired on MY22 but CarPlay is wireless. The native satnav and Apple Maps will display turn by turn on the HUD but Google maps is not displayed. Hope this helps…
  3. It looks like the forth in the list, cheers!
  4. If you like the native Lexus satnav here’s an extract from the manual that may help with the camera warning
  5. Hi, no you’re not the only one; please see the thread running below. It appears to be across all models with the new software ie UX, NX and RX in addition to RZ. Here’s hoping it doesn’t cause any ancillary problems, from another ex RR driver 😉
  6. Yes, my letter arrived today for my RX. Obviously a common software issue across many models that have the new interface.
  7. Hi Dell, yes even the Lexus dealership staff are embarrassed by the current state of the app. However I’m told that a new version is coming out about the end of July (presumably this year!) that should improve matters. I can trigger the remote heating/cooling but rarely do to be honest. Otherwise it’s just looking at the trip history and marvelling at my smooth driving skills 😗😂
  8. I’m not wishing to sound smug, but they at least quoted me….. 23 RX450h+, 7500 mpa, full NCD. However the quote was £1000 more than Aviva, so not particularly attractive 😏
  9. I agree, got a reasonable price and cover from Aviva after Swiftcover (AXA) wrote and told me that they couldn’t cover me this year….
  10. Yes, it does seem unlikely. However the device would have been useful for my mum who went shopping in Woolworths, came home, then remembered she’d left me outside the shop in the pram! 😂❤️
  11. Hi Mark, the 9 beeps usually signify the warning that something has possibly been left in either the front or rear seats, or the boot. When you turn off the car you will get a beep and a visual warning on the dash. To disable this warning you need to press the OK button (bottom of the four on the left hand side thumb control, assuming you have HUD). I recognise that you have tried opening and closing doors, but I think unless you reopen the door that has triggered the signal it won’t be muted. It’s also worth noting that if you have driven with a passenger (or opened the boot before travelling) then switched off the car and then resumed your journey soon after the setting will still be live and will need cancellation at the conclusion of your journey. It’s a bit nannying to say the least, but better than forgetting about the fresh fish you left in the boot on a hot day 😉😂 regards, Kevin

    Hi all

Hi Bill, welcome to the forum/club. We tried both the NX and RX 450h+ before deciding on the latter as it provides greater space (obviously 😅) and much greater comfort and hi-fi quality. Best to find a helpful dealer and book some test drives. Best wishes for making your choice…
  13. Hi, my RX does a double beep ahead of a speed camera based upon the Lexus navigation system. I know you’ve muted the google maps but I wonder if it’s the native system generating it? There again you’d probably notice the coincidence ….
  14. Hi, I would suggest the following: ensure that the latest software version 2050 has been installed. Get the dealer to set up the driver account profile to your phone, otherwise you can get annoying pop-ups. I asked to be shown how to disable the alarm sensor for ferry crossings, and how to change the speedometer to km/h. Set up HUD to your preference ie full, reduced or off. How to connect and remove the tow bar (there’s a knack) and how the electrical connection is swivelled into place. I spent time looking through the manual in advance to make up my check list…. All the best
  15. The relentless onwards march of progress….! 😂
  16. That’s interesting, I’ve not noticed that, but I’ll try and check it out before the warranty work is done.
  17. I’d previously noted on a different thread about the rain sensing wipers ‘falling asleep’ after about 15 minutes of driving in light rain and then failing to clear the water no matter how wet the screen becomes. Having had my RX in for the first service the dealer confirmed that there is a problem and that it will require a replacement part to be installed under warranty. I’ve noticed posts on both the RX and RZ forums about this.
  18. Two snippets from the RX manual that underscores your message that the DRLs operate when moving from Park. Hopefully this is the same case with your RZ. The second shows that welcome lights should come on in dark conditions if lights are left in Auto mode.
  19. Hi Stephen, It was about £1,100 if I remember correctly including the wiring and fitment.
  20. Hi and welcome to the group. I have driven in France using the AHB and found that the car automatically adjusted the beam to suit the traffic. I did ensure that the car ‘knew’ it was not in the UK by changing the speed settings to km/h (don’t think it matters to the headlights 😀)
  21. Excellent! What interior design did you opt for?
  22. Yes, my point to the dealer was exactly that. Even my old 2009 car disabled the reversing sensors automatically. Hope you enjoy your car when it arrives.
  23. Hi Stephen, we had a dealer fit, Lexus approved, tow bar fitted when we bought our RX last year. We use it with an Atera 2 bike carrying rack that we have adapted to carry our tandem. We toured France last year and it was secure and quiet. You do need to disable the rear cross traffic assist otherwise the car slams the brakes on which is a tad disconcerting 😏. Also the blind spot monitoring system could “see” the bike and was flickering like crazy - so, another assistance to disable.
  24. Our dealer fitted a tow bar (genuine Lexus) when we received our new RX last summer, so I’d hope that you would find no problems.
  25. Hi Ken, have you noticed the car being “more intelligent” in using the Auto switching between HV and EV? I tried using the Auto button but the car depleted the EV range then switched to HV, not saving any battery power for when I reached urban conditions at the end of my journey. Hence why I manually switch between the modes.
