In the 4 RXs I have owned I have concealed the dashcam wire inside the windscreen side rubber with the aid of a wooden ruler, run the wire behind the glove box and then into the cigar lighter socket. It's quite a neat and unobtrusive installation. Tom

Rather than try and figure out that page, it's probably simpler to just try one CD onto a USB stick using your PC or lap top. Plug it into the car and see if it works!

When I placed the RX450h+ order at Snows Exeter, I specifically asked if the car came with a spare wheel. 'Yes, of course' said the salesman! Some time later, unlike you, I didn't miss the 18 inch wide pot hole and split the nearside rear tyre. Fortunately I was 5 minutes from home and the tyre retained enough air to get home. I called the AA via Lexus free Roadside Assistance and within minutes the fellow arrived and effected a repair job enabling me to get to the tyre retailer the following morning. I watched him plug the tyre and since then, I purchased a cheap kit to do the same job. Not had to use it yet though. I would much prefer to have a spare or at least run-flat tyres. Maybe when the time comes to replace tyres.

As an 81 year old driver with a good record, I've just been quoted £795 by Admiral for my RX450h+ next year's insurance, which is £6 less than last year, so am reasonably happy.

There is a 4th fuse box located behind and under the glove compartment. You have to be Houdini to get to it so I did not attempt to remove and check these fuses!

Very expensive Ken, but when I come to renew and considering the state of the roads in this neck of the woods, I reckon the extra 50 quid for an RFT will be worth the peace of mind that I can get home. Having said that, on the two occasions I have called out the AA, free of charge, they have been extremely fast in responding.

My understanding was that regular discharging of the traction battery to less than 20/30% would shorten its life. I still get 50 miles range in EV, which is more than that quoted so I'm happy!

Similar experience as Ken when I burst a tyre on a pot hole. No problem getting a fast non-RFT replacement. £312 though!!

JCT - are you saying that the only time the 12V battery gets charged is when the ICE is running? My journeys are alsmost all short, local ones on EV only and I have already had one flat 12v battery incident. ...........However, I have noticed that, when set for EV only operation, the car does switch to HV for short periods. Is this to put some charge into the 12V battery?

The car is due its first service next month so I will probably get the 'experts' to sort it out. It will cost me though!

I have discovered a third fuse box on the right hand side of the boot, next to the 12 volt battery. Unfortunately all those fuses are OK as well so am no further forward.

Thanks Steve. Unfortunately neither of my two fuse/relay boxes resembles the one in the U-Haul LHD 2010-2022 RX450H. Mine is a RHD 2023 RX450H+. I had wondered if there is a fuse in the wiring loom for the tow bar electrics.

Does anyone know where the RX450h+ towbar fuses are located? I have lost the Ignition-On 12V on Pin 10 of the towbar connector due to carelessly shorting it while fault finding on the caravan fridge. All fuses in the two fuse/relay boxes under the bonnet have checked OK. Tom
