I'm not technically minded either, but there are 2 sorts, the stuff you get on the yank tanks - a "roots" type, and the one fitted to the cars here. Both are driven from a belt from the crankshaft - the bit that the pistons drive - they then drive a turbine in the air intake to push more air into the engine. You can then pump in a bit more fuel and get a stronger explosion in the cylinders. Now watch me get shot down!!

sounds like a trip to the garage is in order. Mine used a litre of oil in 10000 miles

the rs, of course...
-
or a Forester STi? 0-60 in 5.6, then everyones happy....
-
much lighter engine and no power seats!

It's probably worth pointing out that Subaru are looking to raise their prices, so I suspect all Japanese manufacturers will do the same to capitalise on the perceived quality image, and to distance themselves from the Koreans.
Sounds like the Lexus is still 20% cheaper than the BMers, and you won't have to wait 3 months for it to be built to your precise specification.
What I'm trying to say is that the era of the really cheap executive quality car may well be over.

A very silly reply..... but most systems have a sticker to tell you which refridgerant they use

The Manual RS is a little tricky to get hold of and there are a few companies that will try to palm you off with the AS200.
I had an RS200 for 3 years and it was great fun
-
I didn't think you were allowed to modify the engine in France?
-
Not sure anyone has imported an AS300 before, and I'm afraid I don't know what the rules are on on personal imports, but last time I the SVA rules mean that you can only import the RS200 tiptronic - please make sure you find out before you're lumbered with a car you can't drive...

Im in need myseLf of some wiper blades having just checked them. Back at work now, but what are the sizes of them? Me being lazy thats all!! :P
Drivers side is 22 and passenger side 19, if memory serves

one thing I've noticed about the new surfaces is that they don't drain as well either, but they didn't mention that last night
-
but it'll probably cost more than either of the existing models so everyone can be happy again!
-
A few of the angles are different, though as the 4 cylinder is lighter than the 6.

to be more clear what bulb type would fit the toyota altezza headlights?
It's the same as the IS - see here:

seems remarkable value, go for it! (subject to AA inspection/HPi check/whatever else makes you feel comfortable)
Only 154 Hp, though
-
what about sunroof? It's not standard on the Altezza
-
depends on the age of the car, but look for Toyota badges in the text of the windows. If the rear speakers are stock, the UK spec cars say "Lexus...". Mine say something ridiculous like "super wide sound"....

I bought a duff unit a couple of years ago, sent it off for reconditioning, and when it came back they said they wouldn't warranty their work. I had such a feeling of reassurance!
-
is it just on this tank of gas? Are there any mods to your car?
-
you can get them repaired by the same place that Lexus use but it might be cheaper to get a new head unit
-
Is something wrong with 4wd? You get pushed and pulled....

I own the Lexus Altezza Jap import, (210bhp) ((not bloody 210bhp at the mo tho ))
Im wanting someone to advise me on whether i should have my car tested (diagnosis) or simply have it tuned and tested on a rollin road!?
The car is loosing power badly, when the boost should come in (2500 revs and around 5000 revs) its holding back and spluttering badly!!
Has anyone elses Lexus done this?
Please HELP ME!!!!
Someone out thar must be able to help a stoopid blonde girl with a car she knows NOTHING about!! HA HA
Sorry it's running right at the mo - just to give everyone a better picture, what fuel did you use last time around - Super or Regular? Do you know if there's any other mods to the car?
Do you know any big chaps who can go and hassle the exhaust fitters for you? :winky:

The supra racers used the 3S-GE as it's light and can be tuned to around 750 bhp....
Supercharger Question.

Do you mean a turbo and a supercharger together? There are rumours that VW will do this to a 1.4 in the golf next year, about 170bhp
