  1. I have an RX450h+, I use a small usb charger in the auxiliary socket that displays the voltage of the 12v battery when the car is "started" (photo attached). The photo shows the voltage with the car in Ready mode also attached is a photo of my battery tester taken at the same time. The 3rd photo is of the tester after I have switched off the car. If I am correct the photo of the USB charger and the volt meter show the 12v battery is being charged.
  2. I too have an RX450h+ and I had the same problem, I now wash the car in Ready mode plus any other things I do around it. I didn't go for trhe Bluetooth monitor as I have fitted a permanent connection to my 12v battery that plugs into my trickle charger, so I can just plug it in rather than relying on the crocodile clips. I have bought a USB charger (£5.99 on Amazon) that plugs into the cigar lighter, why you ask, well I'll tell you, it displays the 12v battery voltage as well. You can also see when the traction battery starts to charge the 12v as the voltage increases to over 14v. When and if the voltage drops below 12, I put it on trickle charge overnight. It's a right royal pain in the bum, not something you should have to do on a £70k car. Mark, the other thing you should get yourself is a Noco boost to keep in the glove box, then you may have read that loads of us have bought one of these. Happy motoring!
  3. I was advised to reformat mine on a regular basis, the card in my Nextbase (same as yours ) is working fine, so I try to do it monthly
  4. I've been with Saga for a few years now and they have consistently been cheaper than those on Go Compare and Confused
  5. Difficult to say, however during the winter months I do every few weeks due to poor battery performance in cold weather. However it has just been serviced (last week) and as I have been complaining about it sice I had the car they had it in for a few days and whilst there reconditioned the 12v battery. I recharged it yesterday as it was down to 50%. When I tested it the following morning it was up to 95%, so I can only conclude that reconditioning it does improve its capacity. CTEK do recommend it done annually, I have been reluctant to do it with my previous Mercedes, but I will be reconditioning this one in future.
  6. I have just done to very same thing with my RX after finding yet again that my %age was down to 50 so using my CTEK charged it to 95%. Given that you also have a CTEK, I have installed the ring connectors that came with it permanently to the 12v battery, so now I just plug it in when I want to charge it, much easier and guaranteed a better connection.
  7. I do about 5k a year and totally agree with you. At the very least they should upgrade the software to monitor the 12v battery and output to the App
  8. I have the same issues as you, I have a new RX450h+, the 12v battery is only 345amps, I have also been locked out on 3 occasions and now carry a battery pack. I have had several discussions with my local dealership about the problem, but Lexus aren't bothered, they keep their showroom cars on trickle charge and have suggested I do the same if leaving the car for any length of time. They also suggest when washing the car that I start it and leave it running on EV whilst doing so. I have a Nextbase camera, but do not use parking mode for that reason. I have just relocated my battery pack from boot to glovebox - thank you.
  9. I'm curently getting 2.5m/Kwh and because I mainly do relatively short journeys, I only tend to use it in EV. My trip summary since last reset is 176.2 miles of which 172.3 is on EV (98%) which gives an impressive 649.3mpg!!
  10. I have an RX450h+, I have the same issue that I have taken up with Lexus several times. I have had to buy a jump start unit to carry around with me. I recently had it serviced (first service) and booked it in to check the 12v battery and its capacity. They had it for 3 days. When I collected it I had a lenghthy discussion with the service manager about it. He said they had done a full discharge and recharge, how best to prevent it etc. I got home, put a bettery tester on it - 65% charge!
  11. Since upgrading to the new App, I've started getting notifications. Most of which are very useful, (charging scheduled, charging complete) but am getting the following: 2022 RX: Not Plugged [6] Date and Time I've asked at my dealership and no one knows what it is. Is anyone else getting this?
  12. My RX decides which trips it is going to log, drove all the way to Devon last week, but no record of it. There doesn't seem to be a pattern. This morning, got a notification that charging was complete - great thanks. the App also showed that all the doors were unlocked, refreshed, no difference, got out of bed (04:00), looked out and sure enough - the car was locked!! I've just switched from Mercedes, their App is absolutely brilliant - Lexus take a look, you could learn a lot.
