Thanks to everyone on the forum, you’ve been so helpful and this has been the nicest forum I’ve been on ever. Unfortunately I can’t say the same of lexus Preston. The car I looked at was the same list price as a new Mazda cx30 and less than the new Volvo and lexus offered me £2000 less for my car than the other two then tried to insinuate the other two were being dodgy when they were £100 a month away from the others. So I went with the Mazda at the end of the day as I can’t justify £100 a month more for something the same price.

Bamber bridge isn’t that bad. Ribbleton and deepdale are far worse.

I live round Preston and work in Manchester. Preston is not great, but having grown up in Blackburn it looks amazing!

To be honest it wouldn’t put me off getting the car if not, I’ve several work colleagues with a UX and they’ve never had issues despite living and working in Manchester.

Yeah I’m the same. So interested to know if there’s a difference in cambus protection.

I’m looking at a 23 or 72 plate this weekend. If there’s a difference I’ll get the 23.

I’m also interested in this as I’m looking at a 72 and a 23 plate from my local Lexus dealer.

How much does it cost Brian? On the occasions I can’t get to work to use our garage it would be nice for a back up as I’m only 20 mins from st Anne’s.

I’ve been valeting for 12 years and she’s obviously a very sensible woman! Wish my wife would take that approach with her car….

Cheers Ian, that’s massively helpful. The Lexus won my heart, so got the test drive booked in for the 18th as my salesperson is on holiday now until 14th. Unless we can’t agree on figures I’m going to buy the car as I loved it and seeing that photo helped enormously.

I’ve got my eyes on a 23 plate f sport at my local dealer. I’m coming from a polo gti and have had golf gti and gtd in the past, so I wanted something slightly bigger than my current car for passengers, more comfortable, reliable as I want to keep it longer term, more economical but still relatively quick. The UX seems to tick all those boxes and when looking at the competition today I kept thinking but it’s not the Lexus. Plus this seems to be one of the friendliest car forums I’ve ever been on. That always helps when you’re considering a car.

Thanks. I’ve looked at everything including cars that suit much better on paper such as the cx30, the kona, q2, etc., but there’s something about the UX that keeps bringing me back to look at it.

I don’t mind if I have to put the seats down, I do now in my polo. I’ll have to take my tape measure with me on the test drive 😆

I’m only short at 5’8 so it appeared to have plenty of room behind my driving position. It’s mainly the boot I’m concerned about.
