  1. I think this is equivalent to an old radio security code when it was disconnected from a battery…
  2. I think this would be covered by the Lexus Relax warranty, assuming you have it serviced at a dealer each year and have done fewer than 100k miles?
  3. I believe your dealer could order a printed manual for you, if you ask, and they know how to do it. Otherwise £50 via Lexus Parts Direct would also get you one: https://lexuspartsdirect.co.uk/product/lexus-owners-manual/
  4. There’s a tech pack you can add to F Sport Design in the UK, now shown as a separate trim on the configurator “F SPORT DESIGN TECH” (as it was hard to spot) which adds the larger screen and a few other things, while also keeping it below the £40k luxury car tax threshold.
  5. Ultimately and importantly- unless Lexus has moved to agency selling (which I don’t think it has), your contract is with the retailer (I.e. dealership), so it’s for them to really sort it - and not simply offer whatever they can get from Lexus UK. The dealership supplied a product that isn’t as described, and it’s up to them to replace, refund, or come to some other arrangement and agreement with you. How they then solve that and square it with Lexus isn’t your worry!
  6. It’s not about your car being AWD or not. It’s about LBX AWD cars not coming with a badge, and so by adding one, you’re technically modifying the vehicle. You: “why did you crash into the back of my lovely new LBX?” Other driver: “I was mesmerised by the AWD badge - never seen one on a Lexus” Insurer: “we’re cancelling your cover because you had an undisclosed modification” You’d then need to tick, for the rest of your life, that you’d had insurance cancelled- basically an insurance pariah. Chances are obviously low, but, it’s the risk you take.
  7. I’m not an expert on the ES, but all modern Lexus cars should have dynamic radar cruise control (where it’ll speed up and slow down based on the traffic in front). As that car has “Lexus Safety System Plus”, it should have that. One big thing to note - and I wouldn’t be buying an ES right now until it’s clear how this is going to be sorted - are that this model, and others, are very easily stolen - thieves pull back the front bumper, plug in a device that looks like a Bluetooth speaker, and they can unlock and start your car: https://mag.lexus.co.uk/lexus-uk-statement-on-vehicle-theft/?fbclid=IwAR2u1DC_0mAo4_kSpK_1FLViLNyHJq0nAKctwfXCMxQi1CwuNiGBA10yY0w_aem_ATXzc0mSafM1xX72JZyfSo-7KpoTKXtkPQjmf6ToRhjQ_4GsDaGMH6Nf5ACoFWEW2pE
  8. Jan to May 2024 inclusive, 1798 new Lexus LBX have been sold and registered in the UK, out of 6521 Lexus in total. This compares to 1712 NX models (hybrid & PHEV) and 1283 UX (hybrid & EV). Lexus UK said they wanted the LBX to be about one-third of their model sales, aiming for around 6000 sales per year in the UK, and given it’s only hit volume in the last couple of months, looks like the LBX is well onto the way to achieving that…

  9. Did you order different seats, or, one of the standard options?
  10. Yes, you don’t also qualify for Lexus finance offers, as it’s not a retail Lexus purchase. They can setup their own finance but will be around 9%.
  11. Did you downgrade/change your seats from standard in the Takumi (to Tahara)? There was a similar post in a LBX Facebook group - apparently by changing the seats you lose “electric/memory seats, paddles, rear air vents and acoustic glass.”. This apparently wasn’t noted on dealer spec lists until recently… and has caught other people out.
  12. https://www.motorfinity.uk/car-manufacturer/lexus/ https://www.motorfinity.uk/car-manufacturer/lexus/rz-electric-estate/450e-230kw-direct4-714-kwh-5dr-auto-premium/101084/ You qualify if you have a blue light card. £13.4k off the base model, contact them for other models but discounts will be similar / often more.
  13. There are now nearly-new RZ on sale for under £40k. Bargain. If you qualify for something like a NHS discount, you can also get £10k+ off brand new. The list price is ridiculous, but anyone paying list price now is also being silly.
  14. Glad you got it sorted 🙂 Personally I found the HUD and touch sensitive buttons second nature after about 30 minutes driving the car… all very straightforward in my opinion!
  15. The mode button is usually the bottom arrow/dot of the set that controls the options, you’ll have three options: cruise control, speed limiter, dynamic / adaptive cruise. You need to press the mode until adaptive cruise shows, then set your speed. Covered in the manual you can see here: https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/about-my-lexus/manuals
  16. Are you sure you don’t have it set to speed limiter, rather than adaptive cruise? The behaviour you’ve described matches the speed limit mode. Have you also tested to see whether it works in normal cruise control mode (obviously make sure your lane is clear!).
  17. Sorry to say that “find my car” is not a tracker and very unlikely Lexus can share anything, and that’s assuming the thieves haven’t disabled the connected services system already. Best bet is to drive around near your house - thieves sometimes park a vehicle not too far away for a day or two to see if anyone comes looking if there’s a tracker installed.
  18. Is this speculation or something based on an announcement / source ?
  19. £660 is the standard price for a GS full service (every second year): https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/servicing-and-maintenance/servicing-mot-hybrid-health-check Going two months early is essential costing you an extra £110 (2/12th’s of the service cost)… bargain for a year’s warranty!
  20. I've sat in both the Toyota bZ4X and Lexus RZ - the Toyota interior quality is significant poorer, a lot of hard harsh plastic, and I'm really not a fan of the dash design. The Lexus is what you'd expect (minus any real leather - which is really annoying). The Subaru looks to be very similar to the Toyota interior - so I'd personally avoid.
  21. Not quite! There is at least one EV saloon planned... https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/new-lexus-lf-zc-concept
  22. No. I’m afraid it’s a trip to the dealers and a few hundred quid for a second key. I hope you negotiated a good price and discount on the car to account for this and only having one key!
  23. I think the LBX is much closer to the Yaris Cross, than the RZ and bz4x are together. But I also think Lexus is much better at distinguishing its vehicles from Toyota, despite shared parts & platforms, than others like Audi/VW/Seat/Skoda are.
  24. Nothing has been shared publicly beyond later in 2024. Linked to MY24, the RZ 300e is already on the streets in some parts of the world, and available in some (but not all) European countries. So in theory there doesn’t seem to be any reason why it couldn’t be added to price lists tomorrow, but it could also be 6 months…
