  1. Big welcome Craig. In your position not so long ago and now very much a 'got one' (no, you can't have it) ! Your profile for the car might be squeezing it depending on what you consider to be 'low mileage'. Later years have a scarcity value above the norm as so few were actually sold in the UK. Of the approx 2300 sold about half were in the first two years following launch and then they fell off exponentially. Therefore late year if you are talking 2007 and after not many about and even fewer for sale. Combine that with low mileage if you think that is say below 50k and it's a very very thin market. Still, be very specific about defining 'late year' and 'low mileage' and I am sure members here will get back to you if they spot one that matches your criteria. As a more unusual way of getting what you want you might look at Japan for an import. They have a lot more low mileage and late years to offer albeit you have to be prepared for going through the import process with all that that entails.
  2. So far just got through the WIL 44 thread. Have to say that is a truly beautiful car. Lots of creativity gone into that. Colouring out lots of the bright work and corner lights etc works surprisingly well. Internal wrapping still not my thing albeit it definitely works for a more contemporary appearance . In my view that carbon fibre wrapping is better paired with the Ecru colour way. All subjective of course. May be the thing that really took my interest was the idea of stripping the roof paint to a polished Aluminium finish rather than wrapping. On a blue car I think that might be something very special , but I would want to consult a specialist first to get their view on how it might work for the longer term. Basically what it means structurally if anything and of course ongoing maintenance of a finish like that. Got to say I cannot get that idea out of my head. Made me think of what you could do with the most overlooked part of the car ..the rubber seals. Do they really have to look that boring ? Be back later to do the other links. Thanks again for taking the time to unearth those links for me. it's appreciated.
  3. Thank you for your opinion. Be sure to advise the Insurers on your thoughts.
  4. dvla basis for the above and note the footnote re 5 yrs Vehicles with a list price of more than £40,000 You have to pay an extra £390 a year if you have a car or motorhome with a ‘list price’ (the published price before any discounts) of more than £40,000. You do not have to pay this if you have a zero emission vehicle. You only have to pay this rate for 5 years (from the second time the vehicle is taxed). Check the list price with your dealer so you know how much vehicle tax you’ll have to pay. 5. Reading up I think we need to understand a distinction. Cryotreatment is used to kill cancerous cells in the prostate and unless I missed something not for reducing an enlarged but non cancerous prostate. Two different issues and dare I say different treatments.

  7. Yes, might not be logistically possible , but I was thinking if you could link Dvla records to HMRC you encourage uptake via tax allowances. Problem is after the mega size cockup they made of computerised NHS systems I doubt they could do this.
  8. I mean just look at that ! What a car ! Who would not want that ! Love to see the inside of that. Invite any time. Distance no problem. What are those alloys?
  9. I saw this earlier and I thought it kind of summarises much of my life and probably yours if you are of a certain age. They call us ”The Elderly” We were born in the 40-50-60’s. We grew up in the 50-60-70's. We studied in the 60-70-80's. We were dating in the 70-80-90's. We got married and discovered the world in the 70-80-90's. We venture into the 80-90’s. We stabilize in the 2000’s. We got wiser in the 2010’s. And we are going firmly through and beyond 2020. Turns out we've lived through EIGHT different decades... TWO different centuries... TWO different millennia... We have gone from the telephone with an operator for long-distance calls to video calls to anywhere in the world. We have gone from slides to YouTube, from vinyl records to online music, from handwritten letters to email and Whats App. From live matches on the radio, to black and white TV, colour TV and then to 3D HD TV. We went to the Video store and now we watch Netflix. We got to know the first computers, punch cards, floppy disks and now we have gigabytes and megabytes on our smartphones. We wore shorts throughout our childhood and then long trousers, Oxfords, flares, shell suits & blue jeans. We dodged infantile paralysis, meningitis, polio, tuberculosis, swine flu and now COVID-19. We rode skates, tricycles, bicycles, mopeds, petrol or diesel cars and now we drive hybrids or electric. Yes, we've been through a lot but what a great life we've had! They could describe us as “exennials”; people who were born in that world of the fifties, who had an analog childhood and a digital adulthood. We've kind of “Seen-It-All”! Our generation has literally lived through and witnessed more than any other in every dimension of life. It is our generation that has literally adapted to “CHANGE”. A big round of applause to all the members of a very special generation, which will be UNIQUE. -Author unknown Keep on keeping on!
  10. We won't go into details ,but (wink) look at his eyes , the guy at the start !
  11. I thought I had heard of all the approaches, but 'freezing' is a new one on me.
  12. Yes, he had the advantage of actually seeing it live. Toilets that were beyond disgusting, a roof that rained on the inside....but of course above all else the music, the atmosphere, the belonging. It was a 'disco' like I am Dwayne Johnson !

  14. Given that the average dealer as no idea what career you are in then I doubt the above holds true. What will always help is to understand any contract that you have and how to be polite, but firm in making sure the contract is upheld.
  15. Thanks Neil. Are the owners ever on here? Do we know what internal finish was paired with the blue?
  16. And a bottle of Belgium beer.
  17. Herbie, what I was writing about is typically more directed at age related issues. You are clearly outside that remit given your history. I am fairly confident you will have been through every mill on this over the course of your life. I wouldn't dare to think I had anything to offer on your situation other than my sympathy.
  18. Then the pathway is right. Chin up my brother had all the above some years back and just let's say I have more problems now than him ! The joke in the club house loo is everybody leaves when he comes in 'cos it's firehose time. Best wishes.
  19. Sorry, just as an addendum if you are being given a cytoscopy just for frequent urinary issues have you first had a simple flowtest? Can understand the cystoscopy if there are other concerns being investigated, but if it's prostate enlargement causing urine frequency issues I would have thought they would start with a simple flowtest.
  20. The sensation is more one of pressure than pain in my view , but one's mans pressure is another mans agony to misquote the old adage. If you do have a urinary problem not dealt with quite satisfactorily by Tamulosin you might in the first iinstance ask your GP to prescribe something called Combodart ,or a clone of it , this is Tamulosin combined with Dutasteride . Personally, I found this was better than just Tamulosin. f you are in pain (razor blades), or finding it difficult to urinate then lie in a warm bath and you will find this helps a lot. The other thing you can do is not drink after tea time. Sounds obvious ,but basically the emptier your bladder the less likely you are to get up at night. My personal record on that (when in RA flare) is 15 times between 12 and 6pm. What Herbie was referring to may possibly (I use that exact word for a reason) be helped by specific excercises to retrain the muscles of the bladder to improve your ability to retain urine. I won't link that, it's easy to search out. Of course sometimes the enlargement reaches a critical point where only intervention is going to help. Of the alternatives available I know physical reduction can be problematic ,but comes with good probabilities of success. Personally, I favour Ablation simply because it is less invasive and recovery issues are less. There is apparently a great laser treatment developed in the US, but it is not available in my region. Might be in yours. Worth a check. Any questions ask by all means. Not only do I have the same problems as you guys ,but fortunately I have a wife although retired has seen (in a professional sense) an awful lots of willies with problems and she is a fount of knowledge.😃
  21. Obviously general inflation is having an effect on premiums this year, but outside of that there is without doubt a separate story unfolding on EV insurance. No crystal ball as to the future, but if the trend were to continue i could see govt having to get involved again IF they are seriously trying to ensure the transition from fossil fuel continues. I think it is easy to overlook just what a major transition this is, and frankly I think it naive to expect that it will be smooth sailing.
  22. Might be a trick of the photography, but just have a look if you have a bubble starting adjacent to the roof seal on passenger side and bonnet side. Might be just light reflection. After my mixup the other day came back to take another look at your build. Labour of lover. Wish I had your skills.
