  1. I really liked one of the interior leather colours but it only came with the "bamboo" which put me off so I went for a safer black leather with black ash trim, which I'm not sure was the right choice. It's all plastic when it comes down to it albeit of high quality so don't feel bad about it, ignore the naysayers and grow to love it!
  2. There wasn't a satnav unit in the country so I had to wait 6 weeks for one to be shipped in.
  3. Get the dealer to do it, they don't charge!
  4. Hi Eddie, Yours is not the same error code as the one Evangelos and I had, see my image:
  5. I'm towing a 1500kg Swift Challenger with no problems. 👍
  6. I had exactly the same error, took it to the dealer and after four days of trying they failed to recover it, they ended up replacing the sat nav unit under warranty.
  7. An update: Went for a short trip this evening and on return I saw the vehicle status was now working properly so it took 24 days to sort itself out!
  8. You tell smart charger about your car, battery capacity etc. and it does all the controlling. If you are concerned about keeping the charge to below 80% then you will need to tell it the current state of charge and what you want it charged to but I just connect it and let it do its thing. I've spoken to both the dealer and Lexus UK about keeping the charge state to a given maximum routinely and they say there is no recommended charge state to work to so I'll continue to charge to 100% whenever I want to.
  9. If you figure in the use of cheap-rate electricity in dish washers, washing machines etc. it makes the picture look a bit more rosy.
  10. I'm wondering if Lexus have been making progress on revamping the "send destination to car" function on the app. I was looking at the map page where you can show the position of the car and your own position which also has a where to? window with search icon, I've tried using the search function in the early days of the new app and it has never worked. Today out of idle curiosity, I entered a destination to search and it produced a list of search results including what I was looking for, selecting a destination from the list causes the map to recenter on the location of the destination correctly. The maps seem quite good and more detailed than those on the car satnav and a search finds a lot more destinations than the satnav. One thing it doesn't do is put a pin on the map to identify the destination position. Does this mean it's a relatively small step to give us the send destination to car function back?
  11. Every time my RX goes into the dealer for something I get lots of vehicle status warnings about doors and windows being open closed and unlocked on the Lexus Link+ app, which is what I would expect. When I get the car back, the Link+ app starts to work properly again except for the vehicle status which continues to show the last warning condition reported when it was at the dealer with doors and windows open. This condition persists for a number of days then at some random time in the future the app starts to report the correct status. I've tried many times swiping down to get the app to update to the latest data but this doesn't change the vehicle status despite the day/time indicating it has updated. Does anyone know how to get the vehicle status working properly, it's one of the most useful functions and a little unnerving that it always doors/windows open when they are not?
  12. I've got it set to read the "instantaneous electricity consumption", the reading does seem to be pretty dynamic and changes quite rapidly as driving conditions change, got up to 3.0 briefly during a long 50 mph motorway run. In the manual under EV mode:  Current electricity consumption Displays the instantaneous current elec- tricity consumption.
  13. So whatever EV mode range you are getting is achieved using just 12.67kWh of power which is a little over 3.2 m/kWh in my case whereas the centre dial usually reads somewhere between 2.2 m/kWh and 2.8 m/kWh?
  14. My shift became similarly flaky and the dealer opened up the console and lubricated the entire mechanism, then after a few days driving to move the lubrication around it was back to it's normal feel.
  15. I assumed because it is a detached garage then it was 6mm SWA, if not then there is possibly more than just a cable size problem.
