  1. Apparently you can ask your Lexus dealer to sort it out. But … mine magically fixed itself. No idea when or why, but it’s done now.
  2. Yeah, this sounds like a fault to me. I’m really happy with the dipped lights on mine, loads of clear vision ahead. And I live in the countryside too.
  3. I’ve managed to get the map updating regularly via Wi-Fi, by setting it up to connect through my phone. The only thing I’ve never been able to sort out is the Lexus Link app - when I try to register my multimedia device ID it tells me the system is already registered to someone else. So the previous owner must not have cancelled it.
  4. Okay, so pausing/suspending the route is the right thing to do? I’m actually glad to hear that. Means I’m not just being dumb and missing an obvious button somewhere!
  5. I may be missing something obvious here, but I can’t find it in the manual … How do you cancel a route on the standard satnav, after you’ve started one? The only way I’ve been able to find so far is to ‘pause’ navigation. Which doesn’t actually cancel it, if you know what I mean.
  6. Fantastic, thanks. I haven’t read that all the way through yet.
  7. Is there a way to change the volume of the standard sat nav voice? When I use the volume up/down controls on the steering wheel it adjusts the volume of my music, but not the volume of the sat nav.
  8. I have to agree - the subtle shifting of the windows is very refined. As is the steering wheel moving out of your way to give more room to get out. It’s the little things, right?
  9. Collected my RC300h today, and it’s just lovely so far. 2020 F-Sport in black. I’ve never had a car with so many toys and gadgets before. So many buttons and menus to experiment with.
  10. So … our Lexus dealer backtracked in the end and said their senior technician had investigated and found that there was no way of adding CarPlay to the car’s system after all (no surprise there then). I accepted their offer of a set of new tyres and some money off the car to make up for it. I’ve paid a deposit and am collecting my new car on Thursday!
  11. It’s not that unusual to take a weekday off when you work Saturdays, is it?
  12. That’s really helpful, thanks Sixty. I don’t have the VIN number but that would be an easy check after buying the car. Basically if the car isn’t quite as advertised I’ll ask them to cover the cost of bringing it up to spec - probably by installing an aftermarket unit. If they offer servicing in lieu of that, then the costs would probably balance out and I’d be happy enough.
  13. This is my concern, and why I brought it up with the dealer. I won’t hear anything back today, the sales guy I’m dealing with doesn’t work Fridays.
  14. Yes, it’s post-facelift. Built 2019, registered 2020.
  15. If it turns out they can’t, then they can knock enough money off for me to fit a third-party replacement instead and I’ll get a modern touchscreen. Definitely the dealer’s problem, since they advertised the car with CarPlay.
