  1. I'd say that pretty much all of my cars over the years have used a hard plastic for the lower part of the insides of the door but the number of scratches on my three month old NX is making me wonder if this plastic is the cheapest of the lot. I decided over the weekend that the growing number of marks on the inside of the driver's door required a cleaning but was surprised to find that many of them were scratches and not the sort of marks that I've always been able to rub out on my previous cars. Various attempts with various Auto Glym products have failed to remove the scratches. Anyone else noticed the same and, if so, any recommendations as how to fix?
  2. Yes. The lightweight design is great for storage when you aren't using it but the downside is that it jumps up and down when driving. Apart from this the car is virtually silent.
  3. Having moved to Lexus from owning three BMWs I have to say that the Lexus Link app isn't anywhere near as feature rich but so far the data presented in the app has been spot on. Manufacturers need to get this spot on as if they can't design, create and maintain a decent mobile app it makes you wonder if the software in the car is equally dodgy.
  4. I sold my car using Carwow rather than accept the part-ex price offered by Lexus (and BMW). I'm glad I did as I raked in an extra £3k!
  5. I've got the smaller screen and my profile and app works fine 😁
  6. I'm amazed as to how many of you have waited over a year for a new car. If my delivery date shipped by a couple of months I'd be looking elsewhere. I must have been lucky. There was a new NX450 in my local dealers which I missed out on whilst I was trying to get the best price for my current car but fortunately the dealer sourced me another a few days later.
  7. Is it possible to remove the Continue prompt on startup?
  8. I can only assume that the issue is their outdated website. This has been a problem with numerous manufacturers since Covid as they've been unable to ensure that their website accurately reflect part shortages or model changes in a timely fashion.
  9. It's really up to you as a customer to understand and confirm the spec you want. Obviously if you're unsure about an option that's where the salesman is available to help but once an order is submitted the salesman either assumes that you've understood the options and prices or starts to question your choices at the point of sale. I can imagine the latter is more likely to ***** people off than be seen as useful.
  10. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I think I'm not moving my foot out of the way quick enough so I'll keep an eye on its behaviour over time.
  11. I have experienced this on my 450 but with the kick control. Sometimes the boot will open and sometimes I get the double beep. The manual states that in the event of a double beep try it again.
  12. Didn't Alan Partridge discuss this topic a few years back?
  13. Pardon me for being a bit thick but how does the car work out this estimation?
  14. What do you mean by the 'new' NX? As the satnav data is cloud based and it's nothing more than a software update for the car and app I'd expect it to be made available on existing NXs.
  15. I too noticed the fingerprint issue and have had to change to a code. I've also noticed that the app never shows the car has 'charged'. It's always shown as 'charging' even at 100% I'd like the app to send a notification once charging is complete. The wife's Mini app does this which we find really useful.
  16. I've been able to get our local dealer to match a Carwow offer on two occasions and saved thousands. Just tell them that you're prepared to travel to Lexus Orkney to get their car and the local dealers soon back down.
  17. Ah - I see what was happening now. When I initially used the right\left buttons on the right of the wheel the system always moved to the first artist on the USB stick and didn't scroll through the tracks on the current album but, it appears that I was doing this before the system had completed reading in the necessary data off the USB stick. If I wait a couple of minutes and try again the buttons successfully scroll through the album tracks. Thanks for your help!
  18. Manual no use I'm afraid. After a long period of testing it looks like there's no way of doing this using the wheel buttons which appears rather strange.
  19. I'm a proud new owner of a NX450h and have so far mastered most of the technical side of things but have not being able to work out the following: I have a USB stick which is full of music and plays fine in the NX450h. I can change the 'source' using the centre button of the left hand arrow set to change the between DAB, FM, Phone and USB. If on FM, DAB or USB I can see a list of stations or tracks on the album I'm playing in the centre console but there doesn't appear to be a way of scrolling up\down the stations\tracks using any of the steering wheel controls. If I press up\down the system simply changes the source and appears to act like the centre button. Is there a way of scrolling through radio stations or USB media tracks using the steering wheel controls?
