  1. @Secret Green Sauce 120K Service, Radiator and wheel alignment are not required for my car, hence you should exclude these items from your quote to get the cost. You should definitely shop around to find a better price. Can we post a third party URL here? (Not sure!)
  2. @Secret Green Sauce Sorry for the delay. All my items have arrived except for two(Please refer to my other posts), and so far I've spent £900, with an expectation that it may go up by another £100. I purchased everything from three different retailers, and I have yet to book the garage for the labour, which should cost around £600. I’m not in a hurry, so I’m taking my time with everything.
  3. I agree with you, these Iridium plugs may be good for 80k to 100k miles. So I can delay the spark plugs replacement for couple of years !😀
  4. Yes, the spark plugs were replaced exactly 9 years ago at 65K miles, and with the car now at 120K miles, they’re due for replacement next year.
  5. Thanks @Bob King. So I will replace the spark plugs next year then.
  6. I have been thinking the same - 4 to 5 hour job. The spark plugs are due for replacement next year, but would it be worth including them in this service? With the extra space around the engine during this job, would it make the replacement easier than usual? If it’s going to cost extra time and money, I’ll just wait until next year.
  7. @Malc1 Thanks, The radiator was replaced in January 2020, so we still have a few more years before it needs attention again !😀
  8. @Bob King Thanks for the message. There’s no oil leak, so I’m a bit hesitant about replacing the camshaft oil seals. However, I'll ask my mechanic to inspect the following items and only replace them if it's absolutely necessary. I ordered few more parts: (Courier charges more than the parts 😁) Description Part Number Qty Notes SEAL, OIL (FOR CAMSHAFT SETTING) 90311-71002 2 GASKET, Spark Plug Tube 11193-70010 8 SEAL (FOR OIL PUMP) 90311-43006 1 GASKET, THROTTLE BODY 22271-50042 1 SPRING, CAMSHAFT GEAR; WASHER, CAMSHAFT TIMING GEAR BOLT;WASHER, CAMSHAFT TIMING GEAR BOLT, NO.3 13579-50020 2 RING, O 96721-24025 4 SEAL, OIL 90311-95013 1 GASKET, METAL 90210-25002 2 WASHER, SEAL (FOR HEAD TO CAMSHAFT BEARING CAP) 90210-07003 8 GASKET, TIMING BELT COVER NO.3 11319-50030 1 WASHER, WAVE 90206-42001 2 RING, SHAFT SNAP 90520-41004 2 VALVE SUB-ASSY, VENTILATION 12204-50020 1 GROMMET (FOR VENTILATION SYSTEM) 90480-18001 1
  9. After my car's recent annual service, I’ve decided to replace the timing belt and water pump ahead of schedule, even though they’re not due until next year. In addition to the usual parts, I thought it would be a good idea to replace the drive belt and its associated components, as the drive belt has been changed every five years, but the related parts haven’t been replaced in over two decades. So I ordered and received the following parts now. Purchased the parts from various sites - lexuspartsdirect.co.uk, Amayama.com, roughtrax4x4.com. Parts cost : £750.00 (Drive belt and associated parts are included - £200) Labour Cost : TBD (£550?) Did I miss any items? Look forward to hearing your valuable opinion. thanks!
  10. @Secret Green Sauce I’m in the process of replacing my car’s timing belt, drive belt, and other components. I’ve been sourcing parts from various websites and importing items from Japan and the UAE. I hope to post a detailed update soon!
  11. Thanks George, will look into this option as well.
  12. Thanks @steve2006. Yes, I am ordering all these parts from Amayama. How ever, they don't have dust cover in stock and ETA is in Nov/December. That is bit long wait.
  13. I just spoke with Lexus, and since it’s an older part, the return policy doesn't apply. So we have to use the part or keep it as a spare.
  14. From what I've gathered in forums, it's advisable to have the Dust cover on hand just in case it's needed. There have been cases where it broke during replacement, so having a spare is a precaution. If the mechanic doesn't use it, I should be able to return it to Lexus. I would greatly appreciate it if you could share your experience or thoughts on this. Thanks a lot!
  15. During a routine inspection, my garage detected noise coming from a rear wheel bearing and recommended replacing rear wheel hub assembly. When I asked whether both sides needed replacement, they advised that only the problematic side requires attention, and there's no need to replace both. Considering all other parts are over 20 years old, I thought it might be better to replace other small components as well. My questions are, 1. Should we also replace the DEFLECTOR, REAR WHEEL BEARING DUST, NO.2 (Dust Cover)? 2. Garage recommends to do Wheel Alignment as well. Is it required? Planning to order the following parts: Wheel Hub Replacement: Description Parts Qty 1 HUB & BEARING ASSY, REAR AXLE, RH 42410-50010/42410-50030 1 2 NUT (FOR REAR AXLE SHAFT) 90179-26008 1 3 PLATE, REAR AXLE LOCK NUT 42428-24010 1 4 DEFLECTER, REAR WHEEL BEARING DUST, NO.2 42451-50020 (Do we need it?) 5 PLUG, SHOE ADJUSTING HOLE (FOR PARKING BRAKE) 47491-50010 2 6 BOLT, HUB (FOR REAR AXLE RH) 90942-02070/90942-02049/90942-02082 5 7 Toyota 90252-04004 - PIN 90252-04004 2 8 WASHER, REAR DRIVE SHAFT 90520-41004 2 9 BOLT 90110-12003 5
