Oh! Have you got a motorbike?

Yes mate, that pic was on my enduro bike taken in the Picos Mountains in Spain a few years ago.

My current ride is a Kawasaki Z1000SX which I love and have toured all over Europe on. Holland, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal etc.

Oh and the insurance for a 1000 cc motorbike with 140 odd BHP 165 mph  and 0 to 60 of 3 seconds ……….. £137 🤔

  2. It happens on newer vehicles too.

My 2022 450 RX went flat after about 10 months ownership from new.

I had left it 5 days when we went for a long weekend away and came back to it being flat and a car which wouldn’t start.

Same thing AA came out and jump started it. I ran it for a couple of hours and it seemed OK. Next morning, flat again. Called the AA out again and again they jump started it. He also tested it and told me it required replacement. I then called my dealer and booked it in for testing. They charged it and left it over night tested it the following morning and assured me it was good to go.

A couple of days later it was flat again this time after only 2 days of not being driven. AA out again to jump it. Back to the dealership and Battery replaced under warranty.

I have also now bought a trickle charger and if I’m not going to drive it for a few days it goes on charge. Not what you expect to have to do with a £60k car !

Has anyone else encountered this issue with Anthracite finish wheels refurb not possible ?

    Hi Gordon

Yes exactly the same problem. Caught mine in one of those stupid multi storey car parks with the ridiculously tight carousels at the exit.

I also tried numerous refurbishers but no one can do it. Yes they all said we can do 2 wheels on one side or all 4 but the finish would certainly not be of the same standard or effect.

I actually took out the paint protect policy with Lexus when I bought my car but when I contacted them even they said they couldn’t do these wheels even though the policy clearly states covering Alloy Wheel Damage. They actually offered me a full refund of what I paid for the policy.

Mine are Black by the way and I was also quoted £1200 for a single wheel by my dealer. The only option (if you want to keep it original) is to keep an eye out for write off being broken. I’m sure I’ve seen quite a few silver ones on eBay.

    Good luck 🥴

Definitely seems to be a huge dip in prices this month, perhaps it's just seasonal?. I have been dipping my toe in the water to sell my LC500 as it's not getting the use it should lo justify keeping it.
It's a Red 2019 LC V8 with 3369 miles on it and  "better than showroom" condition. I thought I'd start by calling the dealer I purchased it from as they're aware of it's amazing condition and  I thought they might like it back. But I hadn't even finished my
sentence or got to a price I had in mind when the guy on the other end of the phone said "Nope, don't want it, thanks for calling, goodbye". Hmm, nice. On their website they have just 1 LC in stock across the entire group franchise at the moment.
I then tried a number of those "we buy your car now" things and surprisingly many of them didn't want it either.  Those that did give prices were ridiculously low and still subject to change on inspection.
I tried to P/X at a BMW dealer and they didn't want to touch it "there's no market for big V8 engined cars at the moment, sorry.."

Dave, you haven’t said what spec your car is, Coupe, Sport or Sport Plus, ML sound etc.

Personally I think people spending this amount of money especially in the second hand market want top spec, even if it does cost a couple of £k more. I know I would as I’ve been looking for ideally a 21 model year, top spec, Red Sport Plus for a while but they are like hen’s teeth.

if yours is top spec and is as you have described it I would be very surprised that you would be struggling to move it on ?
