    Theres part shortages on NX mud flaps until June so they started sending them without. Im told Its all because of the last Chinese covid lockdown. Its been busy the last 4 weeks but now its gone quiet again which goes against the managements plan for this month, its mean to be busy until the end of next month. Mostly been seeing new RX with some UX here & there.

    I imagine that if one of these EV's caught fire in a multi storey carpark it would be a huge disaster as they are incredibly hard to put out.

    Theres a hydrogen powered Hilux in the making amongst other models, and a hydrogen powered bus ive seen around the place. Toyota must know something we dont about future hydrogen fuel infrastructure.

    I heard that Telsa reduced their prices only to fall below a threshold to be eligible for some tax credit in the USA under a new law. Also Telsa lost 65% of its stock value last year, perhaps they had no choice.

    Well, if you want a battery car you will probably pay a 15k premium for the cost of the battery.

    I'm assuming the 15 or so ive seen so far are all showroom fodder & not customer orders. Its very plush inside, lots of suede or whatever it is covering from carpet up to the windows. It's really nice.

    I've just seen some rz up close, a much nicer version of the bz4x. Best feature i saw was an electric transparent to opaque sunroof, press the switch & it turns white, press again & you can see through it.

    I guess it's more noticeable when you have a digital dash displaying figures rather than a needle hovering over numbers on a gauge.

    If you worry about costs & prices of repair if something breaks you should probably give it a miss, its never good to stretch yourself financially. The cold climate you live in makes a hybrid less appealing in the first place.

    Ive never had this issue in any other car, obviously it was enough to annoy people behind me into overtaking, that has never something ive experienced before & definitely not in a 30 zone. I thought i was doing 30mph. I believe my old Golf R was almost spot on, perhaps 31 in a 30 would still flash a 30mph thank you on a safety sign.

    The first day I had my RC-F I got randomly overtaken in 30mph zones twice in the same journey, i used a gps app to learn the real speeds i need to see on the dash. ie - 30mph is 33mph on the dash.

    I had issues with the VW online logbook, what a pita. Whats wrong with a real service book? 🤨 It a lot easier to show someone the physical service book when youre trying to sell the car than find the super secret hidden online one, also I just had to trust that the dealer was electronically logging the services each time.

    It was at the pdi place before transporting to the dealer. Yes, it was the v8, got mixed up.

    Hi. I've had an issue with the audio not working when turning on the car, the red light is on but no sound whatever source i select, sometimes turning the ignition off & on will make it work again but sometimes not. I've read that this is common in the RC, is there a standard thing that you can do to fix it yourself?

    In 22 years of driving I can count on 1 hand the amount of times visibility was so dangerously low that rear fog lights were needed for safety so you dont get rear ended & out of all the cars I've owned with front fog lamps only 1 was any good, a Toyota Altezza rs200 which had factory fitted yellow fog lamps, all the rest of the cars I've had with them were too dim or just made no real difference. Anyway the worst offenders are the drivers who turn the rear fog on because its a bit hazy outside & then forget to turn it off for days after.

    this was in a 40 zone where no one ever goes 40, so 35mph.

    If you can see more than a few car lengths ahead you dont need the rear fog light on. There was fog today but you could still see 100 meters or more up the road yet I had to drive behind cars with their annoying rear fog lights on.

    yes but it seems quite hard to do that when no one is making aftermarket parts for the car. Buying the F sport version is pretty much the best you can do.

    right off the bat you want tuning & styling mods, given the non existent tuning & modding parts on the market for the UX, im curious what attracted you to it? Theres always the TRD kit but the parts are only available from Japan for JDM versions (will it fit?) & cost a fortune. https://www.trdparts.jp/english/product/lexus/ux/

    I believe from watching dash cam videos on youtube that Teslas use their cameras for security & dash cam purposes & its top quality too. Including wing mirror cameras.

    Anyone else think is weird that despite the latest Lexus cars being covered in cameras, they dont utilise them as dash cams? Yet they seem to come up with OTT tech for the sake of it!

    Toyota HQ has held off allocating a new model for the UK plant after the current gen Corolla due to the threat of the government bringing the ban on production of hybrid cars forward 5 years. The governments are too busy agreeing to crazy targets & statements with no idea if its even possible, just to look good. Be on the fantastic magical Eco train or shame on you! It will all work itself out in the end because everyone driving EV's is impossible & stupid giving all the limitations of reality, but its putting many peoples jobs at risk & causing a lot of problems now.
