Hi, my HUD has suddenly stopped working and the option on the steering wheel is now greyed out.

If it's of interest, I have Dunlop Sport Maxx 050s. Filled the tank with E5 last time and driven 522 miles, mostly motorway and achieved 57.54mpg. My best result yet, after 6 months with the ES300. Just filled the tank with E10, and will see if that makes any difference, as I shall be doing more motorway driving over the next week.

As for road noise, I can't comment as I have nothing to compare it to. However it doesn't seem unduly noisy.

I know just how you feel - my Lexus (RX450) was stolen last October, two were taken on the same night in the same street. It was never recovered. However, like you I would not have wanted it back. The only saving grace was that I had taken up the gap insurance, so was at least paid out the full amount which I paid for it. 

Replaced with the ES300h which I'm very happy with. I brought a steering lock, the yellow type, and hope that this is at least some sort of deterrent. 

The worst part is the amount of stuff you keep in the car, the value if which is no way near the miserable amount of contents cover the insurance company covers. I had to claim on my household insurance. (Prescription sunglasses alone was three time the contents cover).

I now take out most stuff every night. Pain in the a**e but.....

Hi, does anyone know how to turn off the jingles that play on engine start/stop and at intermittent times?

It sounds like any determined thief will take the car regardless. However, a steer lock may deter the opportunist. Probably worth the odd £50 outlay.

I have recently brought an ES as a replacement to my RX, which was stolen (two in the same street on the same night😒). I'm keen to add an extra deterrent and fit a steering wheel lock/arm. 

Is there a particular model which anyone would recommend?\
