  1. Door opening does seem very complicated but it is all for safety. Ensure car is stopped and in park. Press handle as indicated on sticker. If however a cyclist is passing it won't let you open the door. In the olden days I would sometimes open the door and lean out when reversing. No chance of doing that now 😅
  2. Probably Covid to blame. Lots of things more expensive now 🙄
  3. That is a great idea. Get it added Lexus 😀
  4. As said, I would go for an older Toyota or as suggested Prius or Corolla. Unless of course you are getting a good deal on the Lexus then it might be worth a try. Good luck 😀
  5. Cars in general have become too expensive since Covid. £25,000 for some "crap wee car". Difficult to get a decent car that is below £40,000 "luxury car tax 🙄".
  6. I generally get a "ping" for sped cameras.
  7. I didn't even think about telling insurance company.
  8. I would go with this too. Covers are a pain to put on and can scratch the paintwork. Awning could be dangerous in the wind. Presume that cutting the trees is not an option. It is very annoying. Good luck.😀
  9. I think WFH can be great for many people especially older people who are good at their job and are quite dedicated. I really couldn't face a long daily commute. For younger people starting out in a career it is not ideal. Training online or over the phone is never the same. As said before, meeting other workers and socialising can be a "nice part of the job". The "workers" who try to do as little as possible are another problem 😅
  10. Nowadays they just take the whole car 🙈🙈🙄
  11. I would start by checking sunroof drains if possible. There might be an obvious blockage like leaves but if not, try pouring water into the drains. The water should run away freely.
  12. I have a 3 year service plan
  13. At least you finally have them but we shouldn't really be chasing these things up.
  14. I'm not sure if there is much difference with suspension in the different models however the smaller wheels are smoother over the bumps as you have more rubber on each wheel. There are obviously different seat styles but you would be better trying them all to see which seat type suits best. Lexus cars in general are designed to be comfortable with a luxury feel so they should all be fairly comfortable 😀
  15. I blame the SUV's. Every second car on the road seems to be an SUV 😅 Cars in general have become too big too, which would be fine if the roads and parking spaces had grown by a similar size.
  16. I had a lovely Ford Capri in that colour years ago.😀 It had yellow striped seats which I don't suppose is a Lexus option 😅
  17. I went through Confused and ended up with Aviva. I changed from Privilege and saved £300 😀
  18. I got mine at the same time as the second key.
  19. As said, I don't think there is a way. I also find the changing from dark to light quite annoying so for now I keep it on the day light setting with no auto change.
  20. It does sound like a wheel bearing.
  21. The RAV4 is a great car and I did think about it too. I wanted something smaller (for parking mainly) in fact I would quite like something smaller than the NX 😀. As you say, the NX is a bit more luxurious too 😀
  22. Apart from the original supply issues, I haven't had any problems with my NX. Hopefully in the long term it proves to be reliable and trouble free 😀😀
  23. The 18" alloy wheels should give a clue. Premium possibly ??? Might have an extra pack to confuse us too 😀
