  1. Yes, very true. When I changed pads myself I used to spend a bit of time cleaning and greasing which always seemed to help. I have never had to replace a caliper.
  2. Great that caliper was replaced under warranty 😀 Caliper replacement appears to be more common nowadays. It is possibly cheaper to replace the caliper rather than overhaul it (which was probably done in the past).
  3. What about Bridgestone Alenza.
  4. I don't require tyres just now but would possibly try Michelin Cross Climate tyres.
  5. I would get your Lexus dealer to check your car. I'm still quite new to the NX but at slow speed, faster speed or even in the rain I haven't had a problem..
  6. When does this occur? I know the NX is not a sports car but I have found that it handles reasonably well for a big SUV.
  7. I have just tried this for the first time, so no review as yet 😀 Easy to apply 😀 It is quite expensive too.
  8. Door opening does seem very complicated but it is all for safety. Ensure car is stopped and in park. Press handle as indicated on sticker. If however a cyclist is passing it won't let you open the door. In the olden days I would sometimes open the door and lean out when reversing. No chance of doing that now 😅
  9. Probably Covid to blame. Lots of things more expensive now 🙄
  10. That is a great idea. Get it added Lexus 😀
  11. As said, I would go for an older Toyota or as suggested Prius or Corolla. Unless of course you are getting a good deal on the Lexus then it might be worth a try. Good luck 😀
  12. Cars in general have become too expensive since Covid. £25,000 for some "crap wee car". Difficult to get a decent car that is below £40,000 "luxury car tax 🙄".
  13. I generally get a "ping" for sped cameras.
  14. I didn't even think about telling insurance company.
  15. I would go with this too. Covers are a pain to put on and can scratch the paintwork. Awning could be dangerous in the wind. Presume that cutting the trees is not an option. It is very annoying. Good luck.😀
  16. I think WFH can be great for many people especially older people who are good at their job and are quite dedicated. I really couldn't face a long daily commute. For younger people starting out in a career it is not ideal. Training online or over the phone is never the same. As said before, meeting other workers and socialising can be a "nice part of the job". The "workers" who try to do as little as possible are another problem 😅
  17. Nowadays they just take the whole car 🙈🙈🙄
  18. I would start by checking sunroof drains if possible. There might be an obvious blockage like leaves but if not, try pouring water into the drains. The water should run away freely.
  19. I have a 3 year service plan
  20. At least you finally have them but we shouldn't really be chasing these things up.
  21. I'm not sure if there is much difference with suspension in the different models however the smaller wheels are smoother over the bumps as you have more rubber on each wheel. There are obviously different seat styles but you would be better trying them all to see which seat type suits best. Lexus cars in general are designed to be comfortable with a luxury feel so they should all be fairly comfortable 😀
  22. I blame the SUV's. Every second car on the road seems to be an SUV 😅 Cars in general have become too big too, which would be fine if the roads and parking spaces had grown by a similar size.
  23. I had a lovely Ford Capri in that colour years ago.😀 It had yellow striped seats which I don't suppose is a Lexus option 😅
  24. I went through Confused and ended up with Aviva. I changed from Privilege and saved £300 😀
